Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Kidney Care was recommended by our veterinarian when our female terrier mix, Polly, was diagnosed with kidney disease. She was twelve and a real trooper when she wasn't feeling well. We believe that between our vet's excellent care and our feeding her the K/D diet, Polly was able to give us six to nine months more joy in our lives and we believe she enjoyed the last months of her life. Polly took to the food as soon as we presented it to her. Until the end of her life, she was a member of the clean bowl club at our house. If it had not been for Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Kidney Care with Chicken Dry Dog Food our Polly would not have been able to enjoy her life as long as she did.

I like the fact that my dog will actually eat this food since her kidney disease diagnosis it’s been hard figuring out what to feed her and her whole diet had to change but she took to this food right away which makes me feel better knowing she’s on the right track I also purchased the moist canned Hills science KD which I’ve had to mix with other food to get her to eat it, long story short she loves the dry food but the canned is a little trickier to get her to eat it, as for the expense I’m not happy about it but if it helps her live longer it doesn’t matter to me she’s worth it

My dog would not eat any dry dog food , my vet told me to try this and mix it with a little water , then put it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it. She loves it and I noticed a little weight gain lol.
