This food was recommended by my vet. I have 3 kitties but one has a sensitive stomach. To the point where she will throw up several times a day if she eats something not suitable. This caused her to be really small and barely 5 pounds. Since she has been on this and a daily probiotic powder she seems to be leveling out. She has even gained weight and filled out a bit. Will continue to feed this to my cats. Positive is that all three can eat this without having to separate them. Negative is the cost. Biggest bag you can purchase is 4 pounds. One of my kitties is nearly 16. Over the past several years, she had been experiencing more and more constipation causing her to pee in places she shouldn’t and causing her to scream while trying to defecate...also wherever she felt appropriate. This was happening several times a week. Cats do all of this when they don’t feel well. That’s how they try to get our attention. I tried CatLax, which helped some, but was more of a crutch, and I was angry at her much of the time for making my house her litter box. Ugh. I then started to research highly digestible food. I previously had everyone on a good Blue Buffalo formula...but it was doing the job for her. After some research and reading many reviews, I decided on this...and it changed everything. Everyone has been on this for about 6 months and my older kitty NEVER pees anywhere she’s not supposed to and only experiences occasional constipation: maybe twice a month, and it passes quickly (no pun intended). Thank you for giving me my relationship back with my kitty. She feels SO MUCH BETTER. She’s put on weight and has more energy. It is VERY expensive and I’m sure so much so that it’s not a viable solution for some. If you’re on the fence and have similar issues, you will not regret the cost. This is prescription only. The doctor stated that he didn’t know why because it couldn’t hurt anyone. All my cats like it and if a kitty has a sick tummy you’re very happy to have it. Some cats simply have a tender stomach and it help , even without a diagnosis of stomach disorders. It tastes good and helps immensely. I started out mixing it with her previous dry food and she would pick out the ID dry food and drop it on the floor.
