These are easy to inflate with your foot. They definitely keep you off a hard ground. The material is somewhat slippery especially when you have your sleeping bag on top of it. The pillow is not really plump so if you need extra support then you’ll need another pillow. First, I'm a side sleeper, a back sleeper, and a stomach sleeper. This mattress was comfortable no matter what position I was in. I used it two nights but see no problem with taking it on our 7-day hike in a few months. The pump area is a bit bigger/bulker than I'd like but it squishes down so that it fits in the area it's supposed to in my pack. I bought this mattress because whenever we stay in hotels, my teenagers won't sleep in the same bed. They try and use the couch if there is one, or the floor (just plain nope on that). I figured this would be a good solution since we do travel frequently. And it worked, sort of. It's super lightweight and it's a breeze to inflate/deflate. But, it's oddly noisy to sleep on. Every time you move it sounds like two beach balls fighting. It's comfortable enough to sleep on. It's not a bed, but it's not the ground. If you're looking for something simple for camping (whether outdoors or on a hotel floor) this mattress would work. ... show more

We bought two of these to use with our camping cots. They were just a bit longer than the cots which wasn't a problem. The built-in pillow was a bit too thick for my tastes but worked out OK. They were no trouble to inflate. They deflate very easily and quickly, which makes repacking them quick. They include a couple of squares of patch material in case you put a hole in them. Great sleeping bag mat for easy set up ! Was able to inflate and deflate very quickly . No pump needed . Using foot as instructed worked great and didn’t take long at all (<2 min ) . Surprisingly comfortable for adults . Well priced. Would order again .

There are other brands that are more comfortable than this one. Because there are pockets of air and then pockets of empty space like in an egg carton, there is no way to get really comfortable.

    • Got 4 of them for camping!

I have not used them as of yet but did take one out of the package to see how difficult it was and to see if it could hold my weight. I’m 320lb. First, I was skeptical. It’s very compact. 12 inches long and about 6 inches in diameter. Secondly, when removing it from the package it was thin.( making it even more thumbs down for me) Three, there’s two valves and one has to be fully closed and the other open. The smaller one where the “pillow” area is, is a two part valve. Fourth, it took longer than a minute of working the foot pump in order to get it fully inflated. I would suggest not inflating to fill capacity, I have hard wood floors and it was like foam on a slide lol 😂 5th, after laying on it even fully inflated it was very comfy, would definitely need my pillow along but not a deal breaker! lastly! The deflate was very easy and fast! Folded it back into thirds and capped the blow up valve and tight rolled it and it slide right back into the drawstring bag. This would be easy enough for a small child 4-5 yrs old to carry. I think this is pretty awesome and can’t beat the price point! Can’t wait for summer to fully be here so we can go camping! Will update if experience becomes bad after using! ... show more

    • Pump squeaks, but still like feature.

Makes squeaking sound when inflating, and using foot to pump is awkward because of placement of valve, but overall I like the pump feature. Inflates quickly with pump and plenty of cushion even for fatties.
