This product is enough to last my lifetime & the life of the fireplace & then some . After installing a fireplace blower which required the removal of all of the embers & lava stone to raise the underside to make room to slide the blower in . I needed new embers which of course happens to be this product . It almost has the make up of a denser yet very light weight Spanish moss . Just tear off quarter sized pieces & place them under & in front of the logs for that natural real log fire effect . As for the blower , I bought the best one with ball bearings which per other reviews claimed to waste $$$ on as far as getting extra heat is concerned . The blower adds to a lesser degree added warmth just not enough to warrant the $$$ . ... show more

Fantastic product! It came in a vacuum sealed bag with a glove to handle placing the embers. There was enough in the bag to last for at least three seasons. This product has a more realistic appearance than the original embers that came with my gas logs.
