  • All-New Klein Blue Finish: The OG Falcon Pro model was available in a premium metallic mirror finish, DUNU has stepped up its game with the new Falcon Ultra with an all-new Klein Blue finish. The pair looks absolutely stunning with its dense blue-colored shells. The shells still have a glossy, mirror finish which complements the Klein Blue color by different gradients with different light angles.
  • Second-Generation ECLIPSE Architecture: DUNU Falcon Ultra houses a newly-developed dynamic driver. It is a part of the second generation of ECLIPSE architecture famously introduced in the flagship DUNU Zen IEMs. The pair houses a 10.7mm dd unit with an all-new lithium magnesium alloy dome structure and fully independent soft suspension surround. This combination of the ultra-rigid and lightweight diaphragm and independent suspension results in lighting-fast transients and effortless music reproduction greatly enhancing the performance of the pair.
  • External Ring-Type Magnetic Assembly: DUNU has also upgraded the magnetic architecture on the Falcon Ultra. The pair features an external ring-type magnetic assembly with a powerful Tesla-level magnetic flux. The magnet pieces are CNC-milled to micron-level tolerances. It results in a strong magnetic flux that exceeds that of the flagship Zen Pro ensuring a clear sound with ultra-low distortion.
  • Enhanced Damping Architecture: Professional acoustic engineers at DUNU have evolved the multi-path damping scheme originally implemented in the Falcon Pro. This new design architecture brings a better balance between the ideal damping and isolation characteristics of the Falcon Ultra. The pair is comfier than before, it doesnt create pressure on your ear canal while wearing.
  • Latest DUNU DUW02 Pro High-Purity Stock Cable: DUNU Falcon Ultra comes bundled with DUNUs latest DUW02 Pro high-purity stock cable. It is a premium cable designed with high-purity Furukawa single-crystal copper silver-plated wire cores and features DUNUs patented Q-Lock Lite Modular termination plug system. The package will include a 3.5mm single-ended and a 4.4mm balanced plugs which users can easily replace whenever required.

  • The mid-bass compliments the sub-bass, while not sacrificing the remaining frequency range.
Color: Klein Blue
TLDR: Honestly, this is what I would be expecting from the yet to be released IEM that is named for that time just before nightfall. Basshead's rejoice. Finally found a unicorn, that does justice to the intro of "Enter Sandman". If you’re a Dunu fan, the Falcon Ultra is a must, for the collection. I actually placed it higher than the 😭 O.G. Zen My target: As a reflection of growing up in the club scene of N.Y.C., circa 1980's. I like a visceral thump and rich vocals. Back then "neutral" was not a part of the vocabulary. Also, I’m plagued with a sensitivity to some of the upper frequency bands, which fatigue me, if the vocals are shouty. That’s not to say that I’m willing to sacrifice the details, like the nuances, in the intro to “Wanted Dead or Alive”, Bon Jovi. I want it all (Sub-bass, a good pinch of mid-bass, vocal presence, non-fatiguing detail retrieval & a wide presentation), but my priority has become IEMs that have not forgotten the lower end of the frequency response range. As a lot of the current offerings concentrate their efforts (like the Zen Pro) on a reduced mid-bass and more emphasis to the mid to upper frequencies, for the sake of detail retrieval & "airiness". I felt my journey for a single dynamic driver IEM had already reached it's apex. As I already have the: Dunu (O.G.) Zen, FiiO FD5 & 7, JVC HA-FD01 & the FiiO JD7 sidenote: The Dunu Zen Pro is not in my collection because the re-tuning of the O.G. Zen. strayed from my target. From Dunu's product page for the Zen Pro, "...tuning revisions that address user concerns about a darker than expected tonality and not enough upper treble presence," But my interest was peaked, when a reviewer on HeadFi.org pointed out that the Dunu Falcon Ultra was built upon the same foundation (ECLIPSƎ model) as used in the Zen and Zen Pro and could be a better driver, from lessons learned, from the Zen series. My review: Sssibilance: I use a song where the S's are differing degrees of hissy on all of my IEMs. Not so on the Ultras Sub bass: enough head rattle to put a smile on any basshead's face, without having a prolonged decay. Really reminiscent of a good 15" kevlar sub, vs. a run of the mill 12" Mid bass: for me, this is the secret sauce, to the Ultras. The Ultras support the vocals, true to the artists, like Toni Braxton & Sinatra. While keeping the integrity of artists like Dolly Parton intact Mid Forward vocals: Artists like Phil Collins can come across as being too synthesized, on some sets, without that attention to the mid-bass More details than I would expect from a single DD, given the afore mentioned sub & midbass presence. Soundstage 7.25 out of 10.; this so subjective, that I would recommend compiling other reviews. O.G. Zen vs. Ultras (on BTR7): Zen wins on width, but I'm not kicking the Ultras out of bed. Ultras tuning is more sultry, similar to using a tube amp. The Zen has more sparkle, up top. Sub: (this surprised me) Ultras wins, hands down. It's that attention to the complimentary mid-bass, in the Utlras, that brings the sub-bass across the finish line. Midbass: on the Zen it's cleaner. But I appreciate that small boost in the Ultra's midbass; it brings home vocals, mud free. Overall: the Ultras has a richer/fuller mids and vocals. The Ultra's playback is the vinyl, stereophonic version, vs. the Zen's (I'm exaggerating, but is evident in A/B testing) MP3 playback Running balanced is a necessity. On the 3.5mm SE connection I found the playback to be confined. Very hard (at least my copy) to swap from the 3.5mm to 4.4mm. Will probably loosen up with use. [Short term update] Always a point of contention, but I feel the dynamic driver definitely benefits from a break in period. After about 50 hrs. the bass region has really benefited. This is probably a reflection on other IEMs being more V shaped (equating to a drop off of the mid-bass), but the mid-bass really compliments the sub-bass well. The included brown pouch is a must, for pocket carry, to protect the finish on the Falcon Ultras. ... show more

  • Wow… the most natural

sounding speakers I have ever heard, period. Home audio, car audio, full size headphones and everything in between. Keepers to say the least.

  • Excellent full and clear natural sound
Color: Klein Blue
This is a v/w shape done great. A warmer tanchjim oxygen with great bass quality and the perfect quantity for all genres of music. Vocals are more intimate than the oxygen, especially with the gold nozzle. I prefer the blue nozzles with spinfit w1 eartips, but the included tips all work well (s and s being the best match, candy tips if you want to tame the highs and focus more on the bass. The highs are airy and sparkly, bass is very satisfying and punchy. Mids sound natural to my ears, not stuffy and wonky like the fiio fh3 (though this is most noticeable on YouTube videos and such with speaking, I still love the fh3 and that can be fixed with eq). You can tell this has a high quality dynamic driver, it has great extension. Detail is pretty good for a single dd, but not aful performer 8 levels. The cable is decent, I wish it wasn’t quite as “kinky”, but it doesn’t seem to tangle. I just wish it was a bit softer and unraveled strait. The mmcx connection seems to be of good quality like a higher end fiio (fh9), so it doesn’t feel loose like the sennheiser mmcx. I’m not worried about connection issues at all. You get a large amount of eartips to choose from, but I found spinfit w1 to be the best fit for this. These are also really small and easy to fit comfortably. If you want a higher quality iem with a natural sound that is dynamic/musical for music/movies/gaming this is a great choice. It’s an upgrade over the moondrop kato and imo better than the tanchjim oxygen. ... show more

  • Sound amazing
Color: Klein Blue
I really liked the sound with the golden nozzle, balanced, quality bass with the right weight without swelling and bleeding, I loved using it to listen to heavy metal and death metal, it's being my favorite iem now, it's the Sennheiser ie200 that I use the most and best in their price ranges
