I purchased this not for playing cards, but for my handheld gaming console, the GKD Pixel 2. The size of the console is nearly identical to a deck of playing cards, so when I saw this case, I took a chance. I have purchased Hide & Drink products in the past and have always known them to have extremely high quality leather at good prices. The good thing about genuine leather is that it's durable and ages well as it wears. This case is beautiful and high quality genuine leather, so I am pleased with my purchase. Although I purchased this for a different purpose than intended, I am very pleased. It was a good solution for protecting my console while also not adding so much bulk that I can't slip it into my pockets without feeling uncomfortable. So if you're reading this and looking for a playing cards case, I say 10/10. If you are looking for a case for a GKD Pixel 2, then I give it another 10/10! ... show more

This is a pretty good case to keep a deck of standard sized playing cards in; particularly if the box the deck came in has gotten torn apart or discarded. This will not fit a standard deck of cards with a box, but will fit a standard deck of cards without the box just fine, (with the case itself serving as the card box). Well, technically, you can get a boxed standard deck in there, but getting it out is not the easiest task; so I’d recommend using this to keep an unboxed standard deck of cards. It’s kind of rugged looking, but also kind of unique and classy. The inside is suede, so it will be gentle on the cards while holding them in place pretty well. I wish there were some sort of clasp to keep the case closed, other than tucking the flap under the strap, as that holds the flap fairly loosely. One shake of the case upside down, and the cards are going to come out. I was able to mitigate that by actually tucking the flap inside the case, between the cards and the outer wall. This is a much more secure means of closing the case, particularly for transporting the cards. I took one star off only because I feel the closure should be slightly more secure. Other than that, this is a cool way to hold/carry/protect a standard deck of playing cards. ... show more

I got this for a deck of playing cards, and while it holds the deck, the cards aren't fully secured and they can slip out if you're not careful. If you work with leather, add a stud or snap and you'll be golden. Otherwise, it works fine, just keep an eye on the flap.
