This backpack has super soft material, but is sturdy. It holds t giant binders, pencil case, marker case, her gym clothes and notebooks. There’s so many pockets on the front, and even a Private one with zipper on the back for valuables. We did buy the warranty just in case, because we bought a LL Bean backpack that is supposed to last for years, but was torn the first year, so we wanted to be able To replace if needed. The backpack is nice and big, well-made, and has a lot of pockets. At first we thought it was missing the pompom and buttons, but she ultimately found them down in one of the pockets. The buttons are very cute, and the pompom has a ballerina with little gems - very cute. Granddaughter is 9 and she loves this. Man is this bag awesome. It just doesn't have good structure, as in bones. If there isn't something in it, it will just fold in half. It holds so much, I can fit all my medical school supplies, laptop, stationaries, and even purse items to only have to carry this one bag. No seams have given in, no fabric has ripped, and no zipper has popped. If there was just something to help maintain the structure this would the ideal back pack! I did purchase it in white. If you are good at keeping things white, then go for it. If not.... I would recommend other colors. It is a little hard to get out of the fabric. but it doesn't compromise the integrity so no harm here. ... show more

Ever since COVID started my daughter's gone through almost a couple of backpacks a year. They have laptops that they have to bring home along with their books so it's a lot of weight that goes into these backpacks. I got this one because of all the padding, the size was exactly what I was looking for to hold everything, not to mention all of the storage. I have to say the durability so far is wonderful. I've been using this for 6 months now and the backpack is as good as new. I normally bring my 15" laptop, books, water bottle, lunch, umbrella and other things and it holds the weight quite well. Not a single seam is weak or opening. It is quite comfortable too.
