These clips have attached deck boards to my 80-foot front porch. They work very well. For the great price and the very sturdy clips my two minor issues are certainly outweighed in the overall value. The Philips screw heads are not quite as easy as the torx bit on the much more expensive brand, but they work well. Only complaint is that in the two boxes I have ordered there have two or three that came out of the boxes during shipping. IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT.

To save on the absurd cost of actual trex clips , I got these and here are my thoughts after getting thru on half the deck with these. 1. The screws are terrible. I even got a smaller head PH01 philips driver but the screws are so soft that as soon as it meets wood the heads slip and are useless. I replaced them all with trim head #8 1-5/8 deck screws. Unfortunately those are gold in color so they are highly visible. Additional cost of screws $30. 2. The plastic clips are soft so if you tighten them a bit too much the plastic breaks and no use. 3. The gap is bit more than what i would like to see. So would I recomend these ...Well if you factor in the additional cost of replacement screws they are still chepa than trex ones but I would try some other brand before I order again. Hope this helps some DIYers.

Not as easy as Trex fasteners, but way worth the savings. Just use the right bit, go slow and snug them up. Also, using an impact driver will weaken the screw and strip or spin the head off. I striped a few because I was at a knot but just sawzalled it off and made a pilot hole...will use them again.

I couldn’t recommend these clips more to anyone installing a composite deck. They made the install go so much faster than the hidden fasteners, kept our spacing and really allowed us to shave hours off install time. Great product, so glad I found and purchased.

Screw heads are like butter. If you hit a knot or are going into hard wood they will strip or break off. I completed my project with these, but would not recommend. If you use a new #2 Philips bit and a lot of pressure to keep the head from stripping out, they will work. I thought the screws might break off, but only 3 did. This was because of a knot. The plastic piece is great, but they went too cheap on the screws. Also be prepared to throw about 5% away because the Philips head is not properly machined.

You get what you pay for. They do a great job in a sense that they give you even spacing, but oftentimes they would strip out on me. It's almost like the screws are made out of aluminum. Compared to say, Trex brand, they're one heck of a great deal. As a contractor trying to save a bunch of money; good buy. I personally wouldn't use them on my own deck though. I had to replace a descent amount. Also, from time to time the screw head would just break off. Slows things down a good bit.

The screws are good quality but are Philips head which can easily strip. I prefer the Torx head on the Trex hidden fasteners.

We had to be super careful when using these. The screw heads being Phillips is way more difficult to install than the trex brand that has the T20 (I think)
