My old work shoes that I own double as everyday shoes. Now that they are starting to wear , and I needed a quick fix to my old shoes, and these HI TECs do give me an alternative. Right away I noticed how comfortable the high tops are around the ankle , and they fit as advertised , but once I moved around a little more during the day I'd cramp up a bit as the inner liners are not good. So with new good inner liners it is marginally better... Wish the arch support in the shoes where pushed up a little in the right side , but as back up temp shoes , these will do. (y)

Comfortable shoes and fit for the price point. I wasn't expecting this pair to match my other hiking boots costing 2 times more but I was pleasantly surprise. If they had some more padding and a stiffer arch they would compete with the other top brands I own.

On rainy days, these boots will work 8 hours and stay completely dry on the inside. When washing parts in a floor sink, they stay dry. The leather uppers provide great protection. My only problem with any boot is the life of the sole. On any day I walk on average 10-12 miles. The average life of work boots for me is 6 months. There boots do very well on meeting that timeline.
