  • Great value.
I'll admit it, I bought these because they are half the price of most other products out there. But I'm tired of buying waterproof hikers that aren't, of buying name brand boots that have clearly lost something in quality yet still expect us to pay a more premium price, or buying 'features that basically don't really differentiate or separate the boots from everything else. Columbias, Tims, and Merrells have all let me down recently. I'm at the point where I only get a year out of my boots anymore anyway, so why pay two and a half times more and still need to replace them each year when I can buy these and do the same for a better price. These HI_TEC boots are as comfortable as the others (more so in a few cases). The toe box is roomy and doesn't pinch, is flexible at the base of the toes and doesn't pressure my foot there, and the lacing works snugly against my arch and keeps my foot in place even on steeper terrain. The footbed overall is cushioning and I can go all day in these. The stitching is solid, the panels and other components are put together well and the upper seems reasonably well anchored to the sole. These boots have maintained their waterproof ability after a month of daily use on my farm, including dew drenched pastures, muddy puddles, being caught in downpours, and so on. So so far, these are providing great value and unless they fall apart before then, if I get a year out of them then they've done their job. Edit: 10/16/23 Ok, these are finally starting to fall apart. The stitching that holds the black front bumper to the upper is fraying/rotting and falling out , especially at the sides where the upper flexes, and they are starting to separate. Having said that, I've gotten over 4 months of use out of them. I wore them pretty much every day, and doing a rough calculation with my step tracker, I got 1, 800,000 steps with them, averaging 7 miles a day. Most of the wear was outside, either around my property while I did farm chores or walking dogs. For me, the price/performance was 4.5 stars. I bought them for hard use during the summer and they gave me exactly that, without paying three times as much when I know I won't get three times the life. ... show more

  • Amazing boots
After a year they have held up wonderfully. Comfy, waterproof, durable, all around awesome.

  • Haven tried them yet, but!
First off I’m no hiker, and I’m physically not able to do anything close to a real hike anymore. So my wife and I do walks, sometimes they are very easy hiking trails that most avid hikers would laugh at, having said that, I’ve gotten my feet wet and ankle twisted in a few questionable “easy” trails, so I need something with support and comfort. These look amazing for the price! I did change the inner sole, as others have recommended, much nicer now, (walking around the house). I’m a 10.5 XX-XXX wide. These fit me, however, the right shoe was a bit loose. So I added a heal pad to the interior, now they fit perfectly! It will take me a few months before I can really test them out, but for my occasional use, I’m sure they will be fine. If they fall short of my expectations, I’ll make sure to update this review. ... show more

  • Good boots for price
Size: 9 Color: Dark Grey
I bought a second pair of these boots to finish up a 6 month season of 40-hr/wk landscaping. I’ve had all the expensive hiking boots and landscaping is as good a test as any hiking. These pass as well as Vasque, Keen, Solomon. Seems like those expensive boots aren’t what they used to be….. Not Gore-Tex but Hi-Tec comes pretty close. ... show more

  • Decent hiking boot. But not wayerproof
Dropped about 300 miles before I decided to post a review. They are quite comfy to start with a quick break in time, first 10 miles or so at 240lbs. Laces are as stated by others, a bit unremarkable in durability. The boots soak up water like a sponge, any thing past the outsole starts creeping in and if there's ever a bit of water that brushes up to the laces they start soaking through the tongue. The dritech seems to be more geared towards attempting to be breathable yet waterproof, 😬 and although they fry quickly I'm walking I. A swamp by the 3rd hour in regular dry conditions, and in wet, muddy, splashing water they fail miserably as a waterproof boot. As far as comfort goes, they are solid and roomy witg toe space to spare. ... show more

  • Need to be broke in a bit
Size: 15 Color: Dark Grey
My boyfriend says he enjoys them. His feet still hurt at work but he likes them better than his other work shoes.

  • Narrow and too small.
Size: 9 Color: Tan
The shoe itself looks great! Good quality to for the price. I wear a size 9. The shoes are too narrow and tight, in the foot box. They seem too small, also. I sent them back. I got a size 10. They fit but a little big. I got an insert, and they fit fine. They look a little bulky, but I'm going to keep them. ... show more
