Can’t say much about these because I’m not wearing them. And I haven’t heard from my grandson to whom I gave them. His mother says that the waterproof is worth the money. I believe I made it clear that I wasn’t an on looker when he opened his gift. He seems to be well satisfied she says she has to take them off of him or he will get in the bed with them. Based on my experience, these boots are for decoration purposes only. I bought these boots for work. The outsole at the heel has worn through to the midsole in less than two weeks. If you’re purchasing a boot to wear occasionally to match what you’re wearing, maybe these boots would work. So they get more than one star. Before you read this, please understand that i would buy these again. At first i was a little taken back that these were not leather, but rather vegan leather (often called plastic). Yes, that was stated in the listing, i just didn't notice. Now, after using them on several hikes and snowshoe trip in condition ranging from sub-zero to slush I have to say that my feet stayed dry and warm regardless of the conditions. As to warm weather long distance hiking, I probable will stick to some better ventilated. These have become my go to boots for winter hiking. ... show more
