There are no bones in it so it doesn't make it look like one of those silly hats you get at a sports stadium that are hard and nylon. It's a nice, soft, lightweight cotton, and it has just enough of a worn in look where it doesn't look brand spanking new. The colors are absolutely adorable I couldn't be happier, especially with Summer coming up now it's going to be a lightweight cap to be able to toss on. Can't recommend it enough
