My 2 year old mama cat and my >1 kittens regularly lay in the cat tree + play with the ball. If they get kinda bored, I just rotate it, and it seems more interesting to them so they re-engage with it. Assembly wasn't too difficult; just beware the supports for the "porch" section are too similar to the support for the top platform, and I may or may not have had to redo their placements because I didn't realize 1 was shorter than the other 2. It's pretty sturdy. As with all cat trees, put it near a wall as a "just in case" measure. Don't put near any tables you have breakables near - they will likely use it to walk to the tree. It's not terribly tall, which is fine, because my kittens have mufasa-ed each other out of it before. ... show more

This cat tree is pretty easy to assemble just using the included screws and Allen wrench. It comes with a strap to secure it to the wall, but it’s short enough and sturdy I don’t think tipping is really a concern. An extra dangle ball is included which my cats really enjoyed. One thing to consider is this is definitely a scaled down version of a large size cat tree. It would be great for small cats <8lbs. My cats are 15 lbs. one of them loves the little house on the bottom, but he doesn’t fit in there very well. The hanging basket is just a metal frame, which I think would be uncomfortable for fat cats that don’t fully fit in the basket. But the top platform is just the right height for cats to look out the window and I like the color. ... show more

Shockingly small! This cat tree is REALLY small. We have purchased 6 other cat trees off of Amazon and they all fit an average size cat. The height is about the same, but the proportions are REALLY small. The support posts are about a 1/3 the size around of all the other brands. The jute cord posts are only 1 inch in diameter! What cat is going to claw a one inch post? All the other brands have 3 inch jute cord posts. The one inch diameter posts also do not provide enough stability. I bought the Heybly Cat Tree in light gray, and overall it’s a great option, especially for kittens or smaller cats. The design is really nice and blends well with my space, and the materials feel soft and cozy. My cat immediately took to the large basket and the enclosed condo, both spots are perfect for lounging and napping. The sisal-covered scratching posts are a big plus and have held up well so far, and the dangling ball keeps my cat entertained. I also like that there’s a bit of variety in levels and hiding spots without the tree taking up too much room. Assembly was straightforward, and everything you need is included. Once put together, it looks neat and feels reasonably sturdy for everyday use with lighter cats. That said, one thing to be aware of is stability. If you have a heavier or very active cat, this might not be the best choice. The tree can tip or wobble when larger cats jump on or off it. It seems better suited for kittens or smaller breeds rather than bigger, heavier cats. Overall, it’s a cute, functional cat tree that offers great value, as long as it’s being used by smaller cats.
