It wasn't hard to put together, and is a good size for my medium sized cat. She has her favorite sleeping spots on it. It hasn't fallen over, and has been sturdy. I can't say if it'll be sturdy on carpet or a rug, but I haven't had issues with it on my wood floors. My cat approves. My dog also approves of it and nibbled on the corner after I set it up. It was easy to assemble and looks gorgeous! I will say it’s a little wobbly if unsecured, using the included hardware to secure to the wall is probably your best bet if you have a heavy cat or multiple cats.

My 2 big cats use this large cat tree. I chose this one because it is tall and sturdy, with several perches right at the top where the cats can look outside.and nap and will be quite secure , lying on the perches with sides on them and are sturdy.     • It's a great cat tree, but not easy to scale

It's a great looking cat tree, but needs securing to prevent toppling and the ascent isn't logical. We had to place ours next to a coffee table to make it easier for our cats to scale it (we have 5). But if you can place it next to a table or other "stepping stone" level, it's a really good tree.

There’s nothing about this tree that I don’t like. Everything about it is great. It’s soft, it’s nice, it was very easy to put together, but there’s a lot of pieces so it takes some time and patience, but it’s the easiest tree I’ve put together. as crazy as it sounds… took me weeks of adding different cat trees to my cart and comparing so i could get the one best suited for my crew. this one is perfect! my big 22lb guy has no problem jumping right into the hammock and the others have their spots as well. i keep right in the front window so they can be part of the action outside; and we do have my adopted kittens mommy and daddy living outside where they can all keep an eye on each other. my family even got same one for their house, but they do not trust it standing alone and have it up against the wall. and like i mentioned, definitely sturdy enough for my 22pounder!! it has been a couple years now and is holding up good, although some of the rope from scratching has come off.. as to be expected. this is very easy to put together too… ... show more

    • Great Cat Tree - But May Not Be Good for All Large Cats

I LOVE this cat tree. The instructions were well organized and easy to follow. I like that they give you (1) extra screw for each set needed and (2) replacement dangle toys. But two things to watch out for. 1) As the instructions state, you are going to need to use the stabilizer ribbon attached to a screw in the wall. It's tall, so it's top heavy. 2) For large cats ... I question if this is really a good tower for them. I would say if your large cat is very agile (he/she can squeeze into and/or through tight places), then it would probably work. I had two cats I wanted to enjoy this tower. One is small and will love it!! But the other is a larger cat, blind in one eye, and is always getting her claws stuck in things. I don't see her being able to negotiate this tree. And the hammock on the very bottom — although adorable — is really sized for a kitten or small cat. The middle hammock though is very large and would accommodate most cats. All in all I am very pleased with this tower. A lot of thought went into the architecture. ... show more

The tower is tall, but not wide (so anchoring it is absolutely necessary) and fits in the space. It was relatively easy to put together. The carpet is soft and surprisingly easy to clean. I purchased this one because a few reviews said it was appropriately sized for their large cats. Pictured is my 20 lb. big boi who barely fits in this one space and nowhere else. Without the anchoring, he would be in danger of tipping it over, it wobbles when he moves. I would not have considered this one if I had known it would be too small for him. My 10 lb. smol girl fits in the baskets on top but is cautious about moving around on it, due to its narrowness. Neither of them use the hammock which is not a fault of the tower, but it makes it more challenging for them to climb up and down. Both of them jump from the floor to the platform above the hammock, and jump down from there, so the bottom half doesn't really get used at all. ... show more
