At the current price of $149 plus tax, this is an expensive pizza steel. However, I did wait for the price to come down during prime day and was able to buy this for $89 plus tax, which came to $94.90 for me. This is still expensive but it is worth it to me. The steel is sturdy, large, and non-stick. I baked a couple of pizzas on this and the pizzas slid off like skates on an ice rink. This is not only for pizzas but can be used for calzones, flatbreads, etc. Note that I did not preheat the steel before using. Instead, I assembled the pizza on the steel and then baked it. I then moved the pizza to a cutting board for cutting so that I would not damage the steel. I am extremely ecstatic with this purchase. I have several other pizza pans, including another steel and a few pizza stones. This is by far the best, in my opinion. ... show more

How can one go wrong with HexClad? It bakes pizza evenly. Pizza slides right off. I normally cut my pizza on my pizza pans but slide it on a pizza board now so I don’t scratch the pan. It’s a bit expensive but it carries the HexClad lifetime guarantee. I can make a large pizza on it and clean up is a breeze ( pan retains the heat very well so make sure it cools down first) ... show more

It is heavier and larger than I expected. I can see many uses for it other than cooking pizza. It will be very hot and the pizza will be quite crisp which is great. The brand is definitely quality and it's a pleasure to cook with it.

Very expensive .. but worth every penny! This pan has solved the problem of our pizzas being doughy in the middle. Cooks very evenly. Wipes clean .. no need to put in the dishwasher, even though it states you can do so. Size is perfect for our 14" pizza .. or even smaller if needed. We are completely satisfied with this purchase.
