As for care and cleaning, you want to care for these as you would any wooden cutting board. Scrub with 1/2 lemon and some salt, rinse with water, dry good and then air dry. The media could not be loaded. I didn't like that The plate didn't sit level. It rocks like a table that needs a shim They are sending replacements. Excellent customer support.

I purchased more Hexclad bistecca boards to my increase my set. I was sent **counterfeit** Hexclad boards. Before returning them to Amazon, I verified with Hexclad directly, enquiring about the poor quality and the different features of these new boards. I sent photos. And Hexclad confirmed that they were not authentic Hexclad Bistecca boards. How does one tell the difference? Authentic Hexclad boards have four little feet on the bottom in the corners, the sides are curved, and the wood is smooth. Please see the pictures above The counterfeit product have no feet on the bottom, the sides are perpendicular, straight up and down, and the woodgrain raised and is splintery. If I didn’t already have some original, authentic Hexclad bistecca boards, I probably would not have known that they were counterfeit. But I certainly would have wondered why Hexclad quality had plummeted so far. Hexclad customer service was tops. They will be replacing the boards when I purchase direct. This was not Hexclad‘s fault. And I’m sure Amazon will remedy the situation ASAP. Just be aware. You definitely will want the authentic Hexclad product❣️ UPDATE So. As HEXCLAD instructed me to do, I returned the bistecca boards to Amazon and repurchased directly from Hexclad. The new boards arrived quickly. When I opened them…. my heart sank. They were JUST LIKE the ones Amazon had sent me. Really⁉️🤪 So, I contacted Hexclad again. They told me,”ooops! My bad. We were mistaken. We have changed manufacturers. So sorry. To make things right, you may return them for a full refund.” That’s my story. I’ve always loved all things Hexclad. But this episode was most unfortunate. And I wish my 14 pcs. of Hexclad bistecca boards all matched. But, they don’t. 😖 Amazon was NOT AT FAULT. HEXCLAD was. Thank you Amazon for being AMAZING❣️ ... show more
