I did notice these were not as sturdy when warmed and full of food as they are when cool. Though not nearly as flexible as a paper plate you still want to get a good grip on them before dashing off with a full plate of hot food. As long as you’re prepared for this it’s not a big issue so yes, I fully recommend these plates. They are inexpensive so use 2 if you’re worried about that one Uncle who always manages to spill. Yes they do show wear after using a sharp knife on them a few times and they can show some food stains but so does plastic. Unlike plastic they handle the microwave and dishwasher well and are non toxic and naturally anti-microbial (or so I’ve read anyway). For my purposes as a caregiver, they are absolutely perfect! I will buy them again and I do recommend them. They are very durable for the price, safe for us and for the environment, do not flavor my food, and better looking than plastic. I liked these plates so much, I bought a second set! The size if perfect for everything from sandwich to stew! Edges of the plates are rounded up to prevent spilling, a definite plus. Smooth texture is very easy to clean (I wash by hand, no dishwasher.) I have put plates in the microwave, have not experienced any staining with such foods as spaghetti, pizza, etc. So there's another plus. I really like that these are NOT plastic; as I'm trying to get out of the plastics as best as I can. 5 big happy stars for this product. Very happy with the plates! ... show more

What I like: Lightweight and raised edges. Great for pasta. Daughter had purchased a set before and they wash easily by hand or dishwasher. Microwaves well. No warping. A lot of people buy these for camping, RV, their young children,etc I feel they are great for everyday meals and for people who have a hard time with heavy plates due to carpal tunnel or just sick and tired of stoneware weight to have a grilled cheese sandwich or a simple salad. They pack well for travel/relocating and they don't take up a ton of space in cabinets What I don't like: The high price for essentially plastic plates, and that the majority of these sets are advertised as a gazillion pieces that include forks, knives and spoons that one may not want/need. The utensils are tiny, and in my opinion, fairly useless. (Unless given to a toddler to teach them to eat or a kid playing with a make-believe kitchen) The exception would be the spoons which could be used as measuring spoons. They are sturdy enough to measure sugar for morning coffee/tea. I rather buy the plates on their own rather than having a bunch of extra pieces I'll rarely use Color: I would prefer less beige and pastels and more "adult" colors. The few I found in black, grey and dark blue come with an added dollar(s) premium that is hard to justify These will do as our daily driver for casual daily meals Hope this review helps ... show more

I have been using these for a few months now. I'm not especially careful with them, in the dishwasher, in the microwave, in the dogs mouth on occasion. I still have all of the plates and there isn't a tooth mark or stain on a single plate. These are pretty big plates as well so keep that in mind. I'd say I'd buy more but I don't believe I will need to! ... show more

I wasn’t sure what they would actually look and feel like, or their durability. But once I opened the package I WAS THRILLED!! They were more than I expected in beauty, durability and functionality. I could not be happier with this purchase and I recommend them highly! They were the perfect addition for my buffet, self serve table setting! If you’re looking for disposables this is NOT it. Besides these plates, being eco-friendly and cute colors, the quality is great. I especially love the shape of the plates, because sometimes flat plates aren’t the best idea with certain foods.
