I did notice these were not as sturdy when warmed and full of food as they are when cool. Though not nearly as flexible as a paper plate you still want to get a good grip on them before dashing off with a full plate of hot food. As long as you’re prepared for this it’s not a big issue so yes, I fully recommend these plates. They are inexpensive so use 2 if you’re worried about that one Uncle who always manages to spill. Yes they do show wear after using a sharp knife on them a few times and they can show some food stains but so does plastic. Unlike plastic they handle the microwave and dishwasher well and are non toxic and naturally anti-microbial (or so I’ve read anyway). For my purposes as a caregiver, they are absolutely perfect! I will buy them again and I do recommend them. They are very durable for the price, safe for us and for the environment, do not flavor my food, and better looking than plastic. Ordered just to have some lightweight summer dishes...have ended up loving them way more than we expected. The little bit of rim on the sides, make them easy to carry to chair or picnic table...and any foods with sauces are confined...We got dinner and salad size plates. I gave my 90 yr old mother 4 of the salad plates to try out...and they fit her needs perfectly also...May be ordering more. I got the pastel colors, but I may have to get some in the other color palette. ... show more

    • Convenient light weight eco friendly dishes. Can be used for microwave and dishwasher safe.
I do like these colorful plates. They was up easily and are light weight. Both good for arthritic hands. The only thing I have noticed so far, they do not do well with sharp knives. A steak knife will scratch the surface of the plate. Still very glad to have them replace heavier china plates.

These have been used very often because they are perfect for the microwave. They are easily cleaned in the dishwasher and are multi-colored. I will buy more of these.

I never had plates of this material before but after a month of daily usage I am very impressed. I have not used these in the dishwasher as my apartment doesn't have one but using in the microwave hasn't been an issue and so far they haven't suffered any scratches, chips, or other noticable wear-related damage. They are thick and sturdy and have high edges which help keep food from falling out and the like. Big fan of these and will definitely get more items of this material! ... show more

Do not use a knife on these plates. They leave cut marks all over them. It says that they hold up to cutting on these plates but they are wrong
