Description

HCP 1DK is a mono car audio amplifier with an incredibly minimized size heat sink. All the Hertz Compact Power amplifiers are assembled with high-quality components and feature a complete and by-passable crossover system. The dissipation system is optimized with the heat being transferred to the heat sink and then dissipated through the sides of the amplifier. HCP 1DK has been designed to work in multiple configurations. More specifically, it features Hi-Pass pre-amplified outputs, providing the ability to create a Band-Pass on the front woofer. Besides, using the HRC accessory (Hertz Remote Control), the subwoofer volume can be remote controlled with extreme preciseness. Features - The extruded aluminum heatsink provides high efficiency thermal performance; using the top side of the heatsink to effectively dissipate the heat generated by the electronic components. The internal temperature remains constant at all power levels. Large array of filters customized for each model, to achieve maximum versatility: Lo-Pass, Hi-Pass, Band-Pass, Full Range, Subsonic, Bass Boost, Phase and Mono. Filtered pre-amplified outputs along with multiple adjustments are featured on the HCP 1D, offering the user endless connection possibilities with any source. I was excited to finally get my amp. Went to the stereo shop to get it installed and it powered right up, only problem was there was no sound. Tested rca's, voltage, switched subwoofer, and nothing. Rca's from the already installed amp didn't work either. They called Hertz and all of their trouble shooting didn't work. The installer said he's never heard of any Hertz amp being dead out the box. Called a local Hertz dealer and they said there are a lot of counterfeit Hertz products out there. It looks real,but I don't know. I will call the local dealer myself tomorrow and have them order one for me. Seller contacted me immediately to get another amp sent out. I will update next week when replacement gets here 2/14 replacement came and I have sound! I will go back to the installer to have a tuned properly because I think it should be louder. It may be one of the many settings in the Alpine head unit. This seller fixed the issue immediately with no hassle at all. I added this to my 4 channel Hertz amp and will be getting a custom box and new subwoofer. 7/6 update. So, Installed a JL 10 in my jeep and moved the hertz amp in there to power it and replaced it with the JD1000. My Acura now hits harder with the JL, sub volume on 0, than the Hertz at sub volume 5. There was definitely something wrong with the Hertz. The bass in my jeep sounds anemic even with sub volume and other sound settings turned up. Replacing the Hertz with the JD500. ... show more

I have had this amp for a little over 6 months powering 2 Arc audio Arc series 10’s and I can’t believe how good it sounds. Very impressed. I have it paired with a hertz HCP 4DK in my tundra and it sounds amazing. Kinda hesitant when I first got it because it wasn’t a brand I have heard much of but I’m glad I did. For the longest time I was having issues powering my audiobahn 1505 and every amp I used would get hot and kick off then blow fuses. I finally went into a local car audio garage ready to just buy anything so I could avoid the protect mode ever time i cranked the bass for longer than 1 min. My option was a jl audio amp for $389 or this hertz amp for $315 which was originally $480, the hertz had a little higher rms rating and the guys i spoke to didnt try selling me a more expensive one they actually helped me decide on the hertz n it only took me 5 mins to make up my mind. I'm very glad I did. I ended up going with a skar evl 15 sub and retiring my audiobahn bc one of the voice coils turned out to be burnt out. I can crank the volume now on my trip to or from anywhere im going and the amp never goes into protect mode. I feel the amp when I get to my destination just out of habit to check n make sure its not over heating and its always a normal temperature not hot like my old amps. It's actually relieving to be able to crank my system n not be killing the amp or it shutting off every 30 seconds. Out of all the amps I've ever used in my life I'd say this was my best purchase. Its got more than enough power for the sub I have and shakes the car and does its job without any issues. I highly recommend this amp to anyone.
