I had serious second thoughts after ordering this. I feared i would feel the $$ were wasted. Well, after 5 weeks of having & using it, i'm here to tell you - I love this mini dishwasher!! It does a very good job of washing about a day worth of dishes for a single person, with just a couple of teaspoons of dishwasher detergent. The absolute best thing is how much less water it uses... just 5 liters for the entire wash & multiple rinses. That's less than the 2 or 3 gallons it takes to put soapy water in the sink, without even factoring in the gallons of rinse water. Also, since the unit heats the water, you will see a noticeable reduction in your water heater usage. I've seen a significant savings in both my gas & water bills. Even running it 2 or 3 times in a day would still result in savings you would see versus hand washing. Does it have limitations? Yes - you will still be handwashing most of your pots & pans, as they simply will not fit. Also, if you are using the drain hose to your sink but removing it from the sink between uses, it would be quite a mess if you accidentally forgot to suction-cup it back to the sink when using, as it will drain regardless of how you stash it in between uses. (I've put a large adhesive hook on the side of the unit to hold it across the door so i won't forget. There is a described option to add a drain pipe for the hose, but i won't be doing that) I tried the direct connection to the tap for the water, but only once. The hose is hard to stow between uses, as it's pretty long, very stiff, and full of water after use. If you can hook it to a dedicated tap, that would work ok. If not, the pour-in method work just fine, requiring about 3 of the 1.8-liter pitcher that comes with. I recommend hitting the start button after the second pitcher goes in -- it will ding 10 times to let you know it still needs more water, then ding again and start running as soon as it's full, saving you from possibly over-filling it. Worth noting - There are some models that are a tad larger, which you may want to consider if you aren't single. In summary, excluding large pots & pans, it washes my dishes well in just over an hour with a one-hour dry cycle available if you want. It saves on utilities, enough to notice in just one billing cycle, and i don't spend hours of my week standing at the sink with my hands in hot, soapy water! Very, very glad i bought this!

I bought this product on September 5, 2025 and here it is 8/21/26 and it is still going strong! This little dishwashing unit is awesome. My husband and I live in a small space. It's just the two of us and I can get two meals of dishes (breakfast and lunch or dinner) in one of four settings, normal 69min, eco 59 min., quick 29 min or strong 89 min. It cleans everything really clean, caserole dishes - (no long handles tho), glasses, silverware, it's amazing. It even has a setting to wash fruits and veggies, keeping us safe from produce born diseases. Uses a small amount of water which you can add with a convenient pitcher supplied or hook it up to your faucet (that would require and fitting you can pick up at any hardware store. I have to say this is one of the best buys I have made in small appliances.

Living in an apartment with poor water pressure led to the untimely demise of my main dishwasher's impeller, a situation my complex manager has unfortunately chosen not to address. Which led me to searching out for another solution that didn't involve me purchasing and installing another full size dishwasher and letting my rental agency line their pockets. This compact dishwasher has not only solved this issue but also brought a great deal of relief to my family, especially to my wife, who is on dialysis and thus appreciates the reduced physical strain of not having to wash dishes by hand. Here are my thoughts on it so far, after 3 week of use: Installation & Setup: Simple and straightforward, the setup was a breeze. This aspect was crucial for me, considering the need to find an immediate solution to my broken main dishwasher, and as I work 6 days a week as the sole income - didn't need or have the energy to get into yet another fight with yet another kitchen appliance. Design & Capacity: Despite its modest size, this little powerhouse holds a surprising amount of dishes. It's stylish too. It fits right beneath our cupboards on the counter. We do need to pull it out to fill it, but that's a mild inconvenienc.e Cleaning Performance: The dishes come out impeccably clean every time, which I was pleasantly surprised by, I was not so keen as to the machine's effective cleaning capabilities. I usually opt for the ‘Eco’ mode, which is both energy-efficient and thorough. For tougher stuff, I put it on "strong" and toss in an extra pod. I would recommend using pods against powder, despite the manufacture recommendation, as the powders seem to leave a residue. Haven't tried jet dry or anything yet, but maybe I will in the future if finances make me be a bit less bougie and I have to go back to powder. Noise Level: Its whisper-quiet operation is also impressive. Being almost silent, it doesn't add any noise stress, which is particularly beneficial in our living situation, as we have a rather finicky two year old. Heat & Drying: The internal heating mechanism not only cleans the dishes effectively (seen it get all the way up to 149 degrees inside; if you open the door during the cycle, it shows the temp inside on the screen, which is a nice safety feature) but also dries them quickly due to the residual heat, bypassing the need for an additional drying cycle, which I thought was pretty neat. It does have some kind of drying cycle, but you don't need to wait for it. The instructions say something about circulating air through it for 72 hours, but as of yet I haven't noticed any kind of whirring, maybe that's select models? Water & Energy Efficiency: Considering the water pressure issues in my apartment, I was again pleasantly surprised at how little water this unit consumes – about 1.2 gallons per cycle – without compromising on performance. I've noticed virtually no change to my water bill, despite running it daily. Ease of Use: The user-friendly interface, with its clear LED display, makes operating this dishwasher effortless. This feature has been particularly helpful for my wife, allowing her to manage the dishwashing process without any issues whastoever. Maintenance: Easy-to-clean filters are super easy to snap out, wash and put right back in with minimal trouble. Areas for Improvement: While the dishwasher is nearly perfect for our needs, fitting larger plates can be a bit challenging. Nonetheless, this is a minor inconvenience compared to the overall benefits it provides. I wish it came with a faucet adapter. Conclusion: The Hermitluxe Countertop Dishwasher has been a game-changer in our household. It has effectively addressed the unique challenges we face in our apartment, making life easier for my wife and me. It's been a significant improvement to our daily lives. I highly recommend it to anyone facing similar challenges or simply looking for a reliable, compact dishwashing solution.

I really like this counter top dishwasher but I wish they would have put the info that it needs 5L of water to get it to run on the info label. That was confusing when I poured 1.8 Ltrs of water into the machine expecting it to run and it wouldn't start. Eventually looked it up online (found users guide at the bottom of the box hours later) and found that it needs 5 Ltrs of water in the tank. That is 2.5 pours of the fill pitcher that comes with it. Once I figured that out and added the water, the trouble lights went out and it started right up. The shipping carton was good, there was a crush mark on one corner but inside there was plenty of formed packing foam holding and protecting the DW and there was zero damage. Then there was lots of difficult to remove tape used to strap things in place to prevent too much movement during shipping. Took a bit of effort to get all that removed. All the accessory items were inside the DW and are well made. Nothing cheap about this machine that I could see. I forgot to add DW'ing detergent my first wash but the dishes came out nice and clean anyway. Bowls, a cup, and silverware all looked clean. I was surprised as the bowls had 2-3 days of crusted on detritus on them (not really all that bad though, just some old dried milk and bits of cereal). The silverware though, dried cat food mostly, and dried soup. Not super crusty mind you, but silverware you wouldn't want to eat off of. Even without detergent, the bowls & silverware were spotless. This is a powerful little machine that makes it's own hot water, does a great job washing, and I thought it was very quiet. I'd only recommend the manufacturer make a point of putting the amount of water needed in the tank for a wash on the instruction label that's on the top of the machine now. Those that hook it up to a faucet don't need to worry about that of course. I haven't tried that yet. And I'd suggest they change the shipping tape to make it easier to remove. I still have pieces that I couldn't get off of the removable rack. Highly recommended! It's also the smallest footprint DW I've found in the current listings and for an RV'er like I am, that's important. I'm very happy that the quality is high too. I'll likely use it every 3 days or so and if it fails early, I'll come back and edit this review. UPDATE: Now two months later and I would say this is one of the best purchases I've ever made for my RV. I really really hate doing dishes and this thing does a much better job then I've ever done AND while 1/3rd as much water. If I did more boondocking (dry camping) that would be a very important feature. Does an excellent cleaning job! What I do to use it is remove my screwed on faucet head, pull out its extension hose and since the DW is sitting on a stool next to the sink, I reach the hose over and fill the tank with the DW set on pause. When the tank is full, it turns off the 'Fill' light and I shut off the water. Then I have the drain hose snake up from the DW and taped to the counter, then is routed into the sink for drainage. I still plan to plumb the DW into the water supply and the drain, but this setup gives me as much time as I need to do that. BEST PURCHASE EVER. My only complaints, and the only reason I don't show 5 stars, is the poor design of the dish rack. It's just not very well done. Hard to set the dishes in a reasonable pattern for cleaning so perhaps there's fewer dishes per wash then you might get with a better rack design. In addition, the pull out tray doesn't align the tray wheels with the DW rail very well so I've often had to mess with alignment as I try to push the rack back inside after arranging the dishes. But it does such a terrific cleaning job, I consider those complaints minor.

Perfect for on my countertop. Water usage is small. You can hook it up to a faucet OR just pour hot water in the top, it comes with parts that are compatible. The money I spent on this was totally worth it. I haven't had a dishwasher in my house besides me in years. Durability and quality is amazing. Use it at least once a day and my dishes come out so clean. The rack rolls out. There is a small fold down shelf and it comes with a silverware holder. I can actually fit a lot in it.

This might be the single Amazon purchase that has made the biggest positive impact on my life, without exaggeration. Dishwashers are very rare to find in apartments in my city so I've been handwashing dishes for as long as I've lived alone, and I HATE it. Genuinely the bane of my existence. Handwashing takes time and motivation that I don't have, resulting in dirty dishes in the sink 24/7 which is stressful and embarrassing. I have long found myself eating out more than I should and avoiding cooking to avoid generating more dishes. Until I saw someone mention that countertop dishwashers exist! And there are models with built in tanks so you don't have to modify plumbing (I'm a renter)! Decided on the spot that a few hundred dollars one time was worth never having to hand wash dishes again and now having used this for about a month, I can say it was THE RIGHT DECISION! My kitchen is cleaner, I am more motivated to cook and I can enjoy home cooking more, my stress has been reduced so I can enjoy other things more. And on top of it all, it saves water! It uses only 5 liters (less than a gallon and a half) of water per cycle which is less than it would take to hand wash the same amount of dishes. I have so far tried the regular, strong, eco, and quick cycles, and I personally find that the quick cycle is absolutely good enough for general purpose use. No need to pre-rinse the dishes, just remove any large food debris first and use powder dish detergent. Honey let me tell you something. This is my favorite appliance in my house. I live in a two person household. As a young woman I have really been working towards making household chores as effecient as possible so I don’t have to be stuck doing them all day. I really hate the stereotype that women are meant to work around a house all day so im really curating my home ☺️ anyways, this baby is ready to use out of the box, please measure your space beforehand of course. The setup is straightforward: 1. Unbox 2. Connect drain house and run in to sink 3. Connect line to sink for washing/fill yourself. We have a different style sink that isn’t compatible with the hose but it is close enough that I can run it right in to the top by hand. So be mindful of that as well. The biggest thing for me was, “is this going to really clean my dishes and fit enough to be worth the money?” Well yes it will, you will indeed have to play dishes Tetris BUT if you wash daily you will be set. The water heats itself once it starts going. It cleans very well, if you have rinsed dishes beforehand you can always run a quick cycle. There is no leakage. The machine beeps when the water level is adequate. It also dries the dishes effectively when selected. The washer has a storage mode it enters when it’s idle to keep it from getting stale. The self clean mode is awesome too. I love it so much, I have half an hour more free time to myself a day now.

I received our new Hermitlux counter top dishwasher yesterday evening, a full 4 days sooner than originally anticipated. It was very well boxed and the dishwasher arrived in perfect condition. I knew from reading other reviews that it was important to measure your counter space to make sure this item would fit. I new ahead of time that this wouldn't fit under my cupboards, so I had made space on the counter next to sink to accommodate it, especially the drain hose which is just long enough. I had read other reviews that stated they couldn't get the suction cup on the drain hose to work with their sink. We didn't have that issue and the dishwasher has drained well each of the 3 times we've already used it since receiving it. The directions are very poor, but the unit is pretty straight forward and was easy to set up and to use. I've used it 3 times on the 29 minute cycle only. At the end of each cycle, I took the dishes out of the dishwasher and placed them in the rack to dry. The dishwasher uses about 5 pitchers full of water. I had no issues pouring the water into the water compartment and once the unit is turned on, it does beep when the water compartment is full. The directions don't say this, but it appears to me that the dishwasher cycles 3 times. It drained once about 1/3 through the 29 minute cycle and the water was soapy and close to the temperature at which I used when I poured the water in before starting the cycle. The second drain happened 2/3 of time into the cycle and the water was cleaner and warmer. On the third and final drain, the water was quite hot and clear. The dishwasher does get the dishes very clean and I'm quite happy in that regard. What I'm not happy about is the choice of photo shopped pictures that lead one to believe that this unit is larger than it is. I include one of the sellers own "photos" showing placement of cups, bowls, plates and silver ware that are no where close to being a true representation of what this dishwasher is capable of. I have included my own unaltered pictures that show a true representation of what will fit in this ting. It's ok, but nearly as big as one is lead to believe. The silverware basket is a joke. I had to take the basket top off completely because literally none of my silverware would fit into the tiny holes set up for a single piece of silverware. Taking the top off did allow me to get some silverware in there and it seemed to work ok. The cup rack on top can be pushed up out of the way if not needed. I don't have a single cup that fits that rack. It's so small you might be able to get a couple tiny espresso cups to fit, but a single regular 10 ounce cup, let alone my 14 ounce cups. It works pretty good for holding larger utensils and small baby bottles. Everything came out very clean . Oh, it will only accommodate plates up to 10.5 inches. And those have to be angled slightly before the rack can be pushed in. This unit is very limited as to how many pieces if kitchen ware its going to clean in one cycle. But it's a good stopgap for us until we can get a new full size dishwasher. It's way better than hand washing and I feel the final cycle gets hot enough that the dishes are full rinsed and cleaned. For the price, it's worth it. Edit: I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I've had this dishwasher a full month now and I love it. All the dishes come out so clean and I've learned how to arrange dishes to maximize wash load. It's so easy to use. In a normal day, I wash 2 loads of dishes. For me, that's doable and with how well this little machine cleans, it's worth to me.
