It's a pretty nice little draw knife. I use it for camp kindling. It's very sharp. It takes a little getting used to, to get the proper angle but after you do it cuts great. The handles are set on pretty good. I wear gloves to prevent splinters and mishaps. It's just like the pictures except the steel is not stainless and will stain with use. Very sharp cutting edge. The back works great as a scraper. Only issue so far is the handles will come off easily. Easy fix and would recommend fixing that issue before use.

It is sharp, is about all I can say. I bought this to debark walking cane/stick blanks. It does a decent job the handles are not designed well. Of course, I bought this one because of the price. It was inexpensive enough, but I wish I had bought a more usable one.

It's durable it's attractive looking and highly effective and debarking without harming the wood. It would be 4 star if the price wasn't so good, but it is. It would only be 3 stars if I were only using it as a draw knife. But as a push knife, it is pretty good. It allows me to do a lot of things I would use a draw knife for, like removing bark and rough shaping, without requiring a shaving horse or other similar clamp; I just brace a piece of wood between my chest and a block on the bench or a log or whatever and push to cut instead of pulling. I also use it one handed a bit, with a lot of quick strokes riding the bevel to take out small high spots. ... show more
