My wife and I bought a house that was previously occupied by a chain smoker. When we bought the house it was vacant for a while so the smell wasn't really prominent, but one of the bedrooms was an atrocity. After scrubbing the walls with TSP, painting them, and changing out the carpets, the room and the entire upstairs seemed okay. Unfortunately, we quickly learned during our first heat wave that was not the case. The room filled the upstairs with the odor of smoke. After reading through reviews and finding two that were identical, I became a little skeptical about buying this generator. I ended up figuring it was worth a shot since it's much cheaper than any of the others, and I'm glad I did. I threw it in the problem room for about 30 minutes with the door shut, then went to open a window to air it out for another couple hours (still with door closed), and the smell appears to have disappeared. I'll check back in when we have another heat wave if the smell returns, but for $40 I'm pretty happy with this little thing right now.

I’m a first time buyer of a ozone generator. After using this brand, I’m a believer that this thing really works. I recently bought a truck from a heavy smoker. I couldn’t get rid of the smoke smell by other means so I bought this ozone generator. Looked futuristic and easy to use. It’s fairly light with one nope to operate. Left it in the truck for two hours with and the windows up and the all doors closed. I aired out the truck for another two hours. It had a strong clean smell with no scent of smoke when I used the truck. It worked wonders. I highly recommend this product.

I got this because a sunroof leak in our SUV caused it to mildew inside while it was parked for a month. This ozone generator did a good job of killing the mildew and removing the smell. I feel this unit may not produce as much as stated so it took several days of running this inside the SUV. I left the car running for about 2 hours with the ac on recirculation to get the ozone into the filtration system If you need this for a similar application it works fine.

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to help out people that might be in the same position I was. I needed to sell my husbands car, but he was a heavy smoker and it smelled awful. After trying every trick I found on the internet it was better, but it still smelled. I was skeptical, but decided the HeraVAC was worth a try. I ran it for three 2 hour cycles over 3 days. I left the windows open in between. My sense of smell isn't super sensitive so first I had my friend give it a smell check. She said she smelled nothing! Then I did the acid test, my daughter. She has a super sensitive nose and smells things no one else can (she says it's a curse). When she couldn't smell anything I was amazed! Even if she had said she detected a faint smell, I figured for most people, they would smell nothing. She has now borrowed it to use in one room in her own house. This little machine sounds too good to be true, but it really works!

May have just been a fluke. IDK. The fan is necessary to disperse ozone. Also not sure if 5000mg/h is accurate as it didn't seem to produce that much. No adjustable ozone or fan output either. I have since purchased the Airthereal MA10K-PRODIGI Digital Ozone Generator and that unit produces 4x ozone at its lowest setting. Also has adjustable ozone output and fan speed.

So my wife use to smoke in the car. She quit but the smell was there no matter what I did. Got this cleaned all surfaces one more time and then ran for a hour. For the first time since buying the car it smells fresh and new no more smoke smell. You do need to air it out before you get in but it worked really well.

I am a truck driver and was switched to a different truck. The former driver was a smoker and the smell was terrible! It was in the walls, closet, etc. Running this one time helped tremendously but regular use has made it almost not noticeable. I will keep using it from time to time but I can't recommend this enough. It works so well for odor control/elimination. The build and materials are of great quality. It's easy to tuck away and store without taking up too much space.
