The screw holes did not all line up properly, and 2 of the holes were either not drilled out all the way or had something broken off inside of them so I was not able to tighten the screws down all the way. Barstools can be impossible to choose — there are so many to pick from, and it’s easy to choose the wrong scale, the wrong style, or end up with something trendy that will look dated in a few years. These are a basic black metal with a gray faux leather/suede fabric, and simple enough to be useful for awhile. They tuck under the countertop and don’t take up much space. The adjustable feet let you level them out so they don’t tip. The crossbars are a good height for propping your feet on, and being a solid metal, it doesn’t look like they will scratch or dent easily. The curve of the seat is a little strange, but no less comfortable than a flat seat would be. The cushion is thick enough to be comfortable, although if the padding compresses, it may start to wrinkle. These are stools to perch on, fine for a quick meal or for the kids to do homework. They would not be my first choice for long stretches of time, but that isn’t what we use our kitchen island for anyway. I bought the set of 2 barstools and had a little confusion on the assembly instructions. The iron pieces are all the same — there is no left and right, as the letters on the assembly instructions implied. There’s also no real front or back. Don’t overthink it and you’ll be fine. 😄 In my photos, the fabric looks blue-gray, but in person, it is a true gray, as shown in the product photos. ... show more

I had some pretty rough looking counter height chairs that needed to be replaced! I found these stools through my Amazon vine and measured the height against the chair I had, they were both 27”, so I chose grey and ordered them to try them out. Shipping was quick- we got them within a few days of ordering and I had my 17 year old son put them together. He assembled both within 30-45 mins using the directions included and he said it was easy. I’m so glad I decided to try these stools! They are super sturdy and lightweight, but they hold a good bit of weight. My sons are 6” and weigh between 145-247 lbs. and the stools do just fine with the weight. My husband and I enjoy them as well and they are quite sturdy and have a nice basic look to them as well. I have no worries of them falling apart or tipping over while we sit on them. I really enjoy the grey seating material- it’s a suede type material that is soft to the touch but stands up to usage. We have them in our kitchen and they’re used every day for just sitting on to chat, cut fruit, etc. We live in an old house (1905) that sometimes it’s hard to find things to fit well, but these stools replaced my old “chat chairs” and fit in with my kitchen colors! We recently purchased a home that has a counter with existing bar stools. The stools that we inherited were very high and great for anyone 5’5” and under…unfortunately, many of our family members are taller than that. We were reluctant when ordering these stools, but we are definitely pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the quality of these stools. The metal frame and footrest makes it very sturdy, unfortunately we don’t have anyone in our family that is 300lb to test out the weight capacity. The saddle seat has an amazing layer of cushion and the 3” of padding on the 24 inch saddle is extremely comfortable. The sat is made of a ‘vegan leather’ and feels very soft and plush. The description indicates that it is “durable and easy to clean with a wet cloth”, we have not gotten it dirty so I cannot confirm/deny this description. The stool slides under our counter and gives us space to walk around the counter. All the hardware and tools to assemble the stools were included and it took my husband less thank 15 min to assemble. This is a great product and I would definitely buy again. If this product does not live up to it’s 5 star rating I will update when more information is available. ... show more

Super easy to put together, both done in less than 15 min. Solid foundation when sitting no wobbles nothing. really comfortable can sit for hours on them. If you play guitar - perfect height , weight, padding and foot bar. Hands down the best saddle barstool!!

I had been looking for bar stools, and this two pack from Hera's immediately hit a cord with me. I knew the colors would match my place. Furthermore, I know Hera's Place products are solid quality. I was not disappointed. The stools looks sharp. Assembly was less than fifteen minutes each. The color of the faux leather is lovely, and I have no complaints or issues to report. We've ate several meals with them, and they're perfect. I wouldn't have mind stools with a back rest, but at the same time, this keeps our room less cluttered and makes easier to walk by the bar. I'm considering ordering another set. Highly recommend if it's the color and style you want. Good deal to get two for this price! ... show more
