The other reviews stating that there is a strong initial plastic-y odor are spot on but it does fade. I left the vest out to air out for a few days and even then, it retained the odor for a few wears. This fits well and is comfortable whether over a t shirt or a tank. I'm not sure how it would hold up for longer distances in terms of chafing but I've done about 4 miles comfortably. It has straps in the front that I've taken to sliding my phone into but it's fallen out a few times. I wish there was a front pocket. That's really the only reason I docked a star.

I see a lot of reviews talking about how bad the smell is and how bad the fit is. I am so glad that I didnt let those reviews curb my opinion before buying. I use mine outdoors but I store it in my closet. I dont hold my nose on it constantly but the smell doesnt bother me as I'm not there to impress wile working out. As far as the comfort, it's by far more comfortable than what all of these reviews had me thinking. It's not lightweight like a boutique tee shirt as many seem to expect but it's 12 lbs made for gains! I got the 12lb as I figured I could do more than just a brisk walk in it and I picked the right weight for that. I am going to incorporate this into my push ups and a few other exercises. It's a great product and the weight is well distributed.

I love this weighted vest. It is a great weight for beginners but can provide good resistance for even someone that is used to walking/running with any kind of weight. It's very comfortable to wear and adjusts easily even when it's already on. The only problem is it doesn't have any type of easily accessible pocket so if you wanted to put your phone or keys in it, but otherwise it's great. I wear pants with pockets so that's not as big of a deal to me.

I purchased an 8 lb vest 3 months ago and started using it during my daily 30 minute walks wearing it 3 times a week. It fits well and is comfortable, plus I can get it snug across my back and shoulders and the weight is evenly distributed. After 2 months of use I have now started to wear it daily. It does exactly what I want it to do - increase the intensity of my low impact walk without adding time. I definitely noticed that my body heated up faster and the amount of sweat also increased - quite dramatically. I was just diagnosed with osteopenia and I'm hoping daily use of the vest will help with that! I took a picture the 1st time I tried it - looking at it now I see I had the vest on UPSIDE DOWN!!! Make sure the white stripes are up by your shoulders - LOL The vest seems high quality for the price. I would highly recommend it!

Vest is comfy and nicely fitted. Great reflective stripes. But the smell. I’ve had this thing for weeks. It’s been out in the sun for days, I’ve put essential oils on it, I’ve sweated in it and it doesn’t matter. It stinks so much I can barely wear it inside. My family makes me leave the room. Maybe keep looking if you are sensitive to smell like I am.
