I used this for a rope gate on my high tensile fence. The wire rope is of good quality. Be careful when setting down the spool to make sure it does not brake it makes a mess of the wire rope falls off the spool. Would purchase again and be more careful with the spool.

Don't buy this unless you love unraveling a tangled mess. The spool is just two pieces of plastic pressed onto a cardboard tube. The sides pull out extremely easily which then allows the spool to come undone and get so tangled you can't use it. Beyond infuriating.

This rope does the job and held up well after one brutal winter. It's easy to work with, easy to splice, very visible, conducts well. The ONLY drawback is some of the rolls' ends are not fastened well to the hub. If an end comes off, you're in for a world of hurt as the whole roll is liable to come off in a tangled mess causing a long a tedious job of untagling it all. Seems it would be an easy assembly step to glue the ends on.
