i didnt read the description carefully, plexiglass not glass is used s this adds glare - glare that makes it hard to see dark pictures. they came packaged well so theres that all in all i would not buy again - i bought some frames at that one big box store today that isnt as big as the W store - much better quality for more money. im sure amazon has some quality offerings

I view these frames as an alternative to extreme budget frames with plastic instead of wood frames around them. This is still quite lightweight, and has a plastic exterior (which has a protective film and is crystal clear), but it looks better than plastic frames when hung on the wall. It has both wall hanging clamps and a swing-out arm for putting the frame on a surface, but the way the backing is held in place is very short metal tabs which you push away and push back. Handling these tabs is the main deficit of the frame as they are so stubby that it's a little tricky to move them. Otherwise, this is a serviceable set of frames and reasonable value.

We got this set of picture frames to re-frame some large frameless pictures we had hanging up in a room. You should try saying that 3 times fast. The frames arrived with no damage, and there were no quality issues like broken tabs or poorly fitting components. Our pictures had to be trimmed slightly to fit, but that was expected because we were moving from frameless to frames. The material is medium quality - some kind of composite engineered wood with “plexiglass” (i.e., a thin plastic). Thankfully the “plexiglass” came with plastic protectors to ensure that they did not get scratched in shipping. From far away, you can’t tell that the frames aren’t wood and glass, which means these are a step up from what you might get at Ikea. The backs of these frames have hangers for vertical or horizontal orientation, but we just used 3M picture hanging strips (which worked well, btw). Last positive thing about these frames is that they arrived quickly; probably 2 days after ordering. Recommended buy.
