These are my favorite bins. The latches are the right balance of securely closing & easily opening. You can see what's inside. We all have a tendency to overfill. The raised lids save us from ourselves. They are sturdier than the off-brands but can break when dropped, so don't do that. Stacking them 4 high with heavy contents will deform the lids but they still last for years. Beware of "used, like new." I ordered those & they sent 2 different wrong sizes. These are such a useful size to sort into when I'm reorganizing areas of my house; and, they are equally useful for organizing my quilting supplies that must be pulled and and then put back up in between my quilting stints. I've bought them in stores and online - but I always buy these - JUST these. They are just the right size to fill up and move around - others are too big or small. And, they stack beautifully! With a ladder, I can actually stack them at least 11 or 12 high so they take up minimal space when space is an issue and without crumbling under the weight! Highly recommend these! ... show more

I purchased these because my wonderful new puppy was getting into his food, wherever I kept it. Oh, and he seemed to prefer the OTHER food intended for my other dog, so it was just a mess all around. I needed to keep the food close for convenience, but I had to figure out a secure solution that would keep the food closed off and inaccessible. Shopping in Walmart, I found one of these bins, but I needed two. I came to Amazon where I got the six pack, and they've worked great so far. They remain stable when filled with dog food, and the locking mechanisms keep the lid on. Just keep in mind that you shouldn't be lifting just one end of the lid. The other end will unlatch as well, and if you forget to relatch, it defeats the purpose in securing your food. I know I will find great uses for the other four that came in the pack. ... show more
