  • So far, TOTL sound
The most " hifi", balanced sound Only 5 hours, but bass is already visceral. Bass head should❤ Already in ny face music Comfort ok, but your ears will get 🔥 Soundsrage is wide, not deep or high Comparable to Hifiman Ananda, but with more kick and dynamics Theses are it for me, i'm hoping balanced cable and 6 watts from amp make headphones go from current 95% transparent single end to Focal Mg disappearance Really no need to spend 4k for headphones, these already have TOTL sound, single ended, " only" 2.5 watts I predict these will be OMFG musical beasts after full 20 hour burn in, balanced cable, 6 total watts. They already sound super dynamic, very clear, with bass already rumbling single end, 2.4 watts This is not just new toy❤, the dynamics are. already occosionally shocking, and i heart things i did not before Most visceral headphone i ever heard/ felt Update 5/14/23: Jot( Schitt audio) balanced amp, Balance csable= musical beasts, as í hoped, 24 hour burn in, át least 3 watts, 32 ohms, per channel, they disappear, but still, visceral bass and dynamics, 👍👊👍 But, they must, must be powered by good, high output, amp Át least 3 watts per side, 32ohm ... show more

  • Awesome sound for Hifi listening only, NOT for me in Music Production and Engineering work.
I am audio engineer. The clarity, detail, and separation of instruments, and soundstage is great, with an almost 3D sound, but not surgical to reveal errors . Sounds come from the back, top, and side. The Sound is in between Planar and Electrostatic. Its closer to a warm natural sound. These are not bass heavy, the whole spectrum is lean to flat sounding. My main issue, is that these were marketed to music producers/engineers and they have it wrong. The sound is to spacious, smooth, warm and full bodied and not that dynamic. The timbre is not snappy or sharp how I like it. They are not revealing enough to pin point errors in music. Sound engineers need aggressive, intimate and microscopic detail. I use sources such as Sound reference, Waves and Can Opener to get the sound ready for mixing or mastering. I have Dan Clark Ether C as my close back and they are awesome for my needs. I will go with the Audeze MM 500 instead as my open backs. Heddphone leans towards Audiophile and listening to music for enjoyment only at least for me. ... show more

  • Incredible vocals
The mid-range is incredible. It is as if the singer is right beside you. Also excellent for plucked guitar strings. Sub bass is there but not loud. Sound stage is wide but from side to side - not much depth from front to back. Fully resolving headphone so can be unforgiving. I heard a man clear his throat in one recording. It is the best pair of headphone I have heard across the frequency range, and there are good bass and treble extensions. Definitely an improvement over my Hifiman Ananda. Better be for three times the cost. You need a powerful headphone amplifier. I pair it with my Monolith 124459 dac/amp and use a balanced cable for double the power. Only downside is that the clamp force pinches on my ear lobes. I am less bothered by the weight, which is considerable. Recommendation - if you are going for the best sound, buy the Heddphone. But if you wish to listen for more than one hour at a time, get the Hifiman Arya for greater comfort, as the guy from Headphone.com recommended. The Arya is also Joshua Valour's favorite go to headphone. I have no regrets buying the Heddphone. Over time, I will forget the price and remember the quality. ... show more

  • Outstanding, better than its peers
It's a heavier headphone. At 1.5 pounds my girlfriend can't use it. But it's far superior to most dynamic drivers and planars I've tried. It's not as good as the Koss 95X Electrostatic, but those are so unreliable and electrostats have so many issues that it's a durability race. These are durable, and have excellent, fast, sound. I look forward to putting this on and relistening to my library. I've tried dozens of high end headphones. I like these close to the best, and definitely the best for the price. ... show more

  • Warm sound for casual listening, nice for treble sensitive
These are heavy, but if you wear a bike or motorcycle helmet sometimes you won't be bothered by it. They're warm and smooth, and you must have them on a good source with lossless music to really hear how good they are. The treble rolloff isn't as much as a Focal Elegia, but it's getting there. Out of the box they really sound similar to the Hifiman HE6se after equalize them (which takes crazy power to do on the Hifiman). These aren't as hard to power as you might think, the Topping L30 II is wonderful, and balanced cables on the SMSL SP400 or Topping A90 discrete I have didn't sound all that different from a power perspective. The fit and finish is the best of any German headphone I've had. These aren't good for gaming, or critical listening for production work. These are for casual fun listening, especially people who are bothered by bright headphones. Plug these into a Schiit Asgard 3, and it'll be so smooth you'll probably slide out of your chair. For gaming the Audio Technica ADH1000X is kingpin, for production work the Hifiman Arya is best. These are for winding down in a recliner chair and soaking the music in when you're not working or gaming. ... show more
