    • Got this for my injured dog so he wouldn't have to walk on the hard patio!
This has saved my dogs paws! He just had spinal surgery and is knuckling (dragging his paws on the front of them) and the patio was tearing up his feet! We put these down so we could get him outside to the yard without dragging his feet on the hard patio. A lifesaver! His paws are healing well now - the only caveat is that it looks and feels so much like grass, that he starts to pee as soon as we get to the patio and he feels and see what he thinks is grass underneath his feet! LOL! But for us, while our dog is recovering, this is a small price to pay and the rug washes out just fine so it's not retaining any undesirable smell. I ordered two! ... show more

My dog is very particular about going outside in the rain. She hates it. I wanted something for the patio to use when the weather is bad. I want to encourage her to go outside to do her business, and I don’t want her to hold her bladder and get a UTI. This is a great solution. It is small enough that you can rinse it off outside with the hose in between uses. You can store it until the next time you need it. It is lightweight and easily foldable. I think it would also be a great emergency potty place for someone who is living in an apartment when your doggy has that emergency middle of the night bathroom need. It came folded in such a way that the edges do not lie flat when you unpack it. You can see that in the picture. Rolling it might be a better option for shipping. ... show more

We are using this turf pad over a crushed rock base, and we have lots of crushed rock all around our front, back and side yards. Our pooches typically does her "business" is specific areas. We do have a designated grass area, but we want that to be our pooch's playground and not be where she relieves herself. We were concerned that this artificial grass may confuse her (she is only 6 months old), but she quickly learned the difference this and real grass. The blades of grass are also quite soft and flexible. I have seem some artificial turf pads that are rigid, so this is noticeably better. Our pooch knows exactly what she is supposed to do on it, and cleanup is a breeze. It has holes in its base for liquids to pass through, which is particularly good because we rinse it with a hose daily. It's holding up well after a couple of weeks of constant use, and we expect it to remain quite durable. ... show more

This is a very well constructed piece of fake grass that I am using over the top of gravel next to a chain link fence where one of my dogs likes to talk to the neighbors ;). The pile is nice and thick and when spreading it with my fingers it is hard to see the mat underneath. Although it came folded up and has creases and smashed pile, it will come to life and flatten out within a few days in the sun. I paid 5x the cost of this piece for a high quality 4x4 piece for my buddy to lay on (we live in the desert southwest and don't have grass yards because of the cost and shortage of water). This 2x8 runner nearly matches the quality of the expensive piece we have. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

I've had this laid out and being used for about 2 weeks now trying to give it plenty of time for the folds to lay flat but it's still quite obviously seen down the middle. It shipped folded several times over but perhaps it would be better shipped in rolls. The material itself feels pretty soft, has a thick enough feel to it and feels good walking on top of. There's even some really short light brown 'grass' to give it a more realistic appearance which I like. My cat likes to lay on it and scratch on it and it's held up to her scratching just fine so far. I like that it has some holes that allow water to drain off it but the rest of the backing is not breathable which means whatever water gets trapped under it from the drain holes will be slow to evaporate if there's no other air flow being provided from underneath. In my case, I have it laying on top of a deck so there is some air flow due to the small spaces between the boards. If this were laying on concrete, it may create a place for mold to grow if measures aren't taken to let it dry underneath. Overall, I like this but not happy with the fold still showing. I'm hoping that by giving it some more time, it will go away. ... show more
