My new TV is much heavier than other LCD TVs I've owned due to its massive 100" size. It weighs over 100lbs and I wanted to make sure it stayed on the wall. I also wanted to make sure it was as close to the wall as possible. This mounting kit is strong and has thicker metal than kits I've used in the past for smaller TV's. The kit included lag screws for mounting on standard wood framed and drywall type walls. I located the wood studs and mounted the base bracket. The kit included a thick paper template and simple level for locating and marking your holes so that you don't have to hold up the heavy bracket itself and I found that quite handy. I was able to tape the template up and view it, making sure it's where I wanted it. The TV brackets were also simple to install. My TV has an uneven back but HiSense put a VESA spacer on the thinner part of the TV to make it even for brackets. If your TV doesn't have this, the kit includes multiple M8 screw lengths and plasctic spacers for getting it right. I used a couple saw horses to rest the TV on next to the wall before the final lift. The TV was heavy even for two people. Engaging the TV hardware to the wall hardware was straightforward and not much different than hanging a painting. Once the top was "hooked" on, the TV snapped into place as the bottom "hook" mechanism engaged, preventing the TV from casually coming back off the wall. One thing I noticed is that for a 100" TV, the pull cords that release the bracket when you need to remove the TV from the wall, were rather short and the wall gap was not enough for me to get my hands up in there. You might want to lengthen the lanyards with strong twine or in my case, some long zip tie loops. Sliding the TV side to side to adjust the center position was fairly easy with a little force after it was clipped in. Overall, this is a good and sturdy kit for larger TVs and IA found the price reasonable and economical when compared to other choices I had while looking for a mount kit. ... show more

We purchased the fixed version design of this mount to support our new Hisense 100" TV that weighs 160 lbs. The solid steel components inspire confidence that this product is up to the task of supporting up to a 200 lb TV. The included M6 and M8 mounting screws and spacers should meet most mounting requirements. However, I chose to design and 3D print spacers that exactly met the maximum screw depth allowance for the Hisense. The included installation manual is clear and concise. Installation was straight forward for someone with moderate mechanical aptitude and the required tools. I found the included 4" level sub-standard when compared to my 2 and 4 foot levels so I went with their indications. I really like the spring loaded lower latch mechanism on each of the TV mounted components. They allow me to swing the TV out enough to reach the connectors on the back of the TV. However, some type of prop is required to hold it away from the wall while the connections are being made. A little fiddly but it works for the rare occasions this is required. Note that each latch is fitted with an adjustable length lanyard that should be adjusted to a length reachable after the TV is mounted. Speaking from experience. In all I find this mount well made and of good value. Unrelated to this specific mount is the task of lifting the TV up to the mount. Be sure that you have adequate personnel of suitable strength to lift the TV to the wall. In my particular case Hisense recommends three persons for the 160 lb lift and it was certainly necessary. ... show more

Excellent TV mount! Our studs are spaced wider than 16 inches apart, I think they’re 24 inches, so I looked for one specifically to accommodate wider studs. This worked beautifully! Came with everything you needed, and installation was a breeze. We’re using it to mount an 85 inch, very heavy TV. It works great. It is tight to the wall, so make sure you’re ready to plug that TV in! Also, if you can install a recessed plug, we found that to be a great help. ... show more

    • Pull Cords Hang Down with No way to Hide

Great product however the pull cord to unclip the TV from the mount has no way to store it behind the TV. Most others have magnets that you can attach up behind the tv on the mount.
