Description

HEAVY DUTY Screw in Anchor 3/4" x 48" w/6" Helix Excellent for thousands of projects; commonly used for securing small planes, vineyard trellises, storage sheds, tents, orchard and nursery trees, swing sets, clothes lines, fences, retaining walls, radio antennas, small windmills, floating docks, and pet restraint. All eye anchors are manufactured from steel that conforms to ASTM A-36 M1020 standards. Holding strength is based on clay soils which are of hard to medium density. The holding strength is reduced in softer less dense soils and sandy soils. To ensure maximum holding strength, anchor must be installed to full depth with the bottom of eyelet at ground level. Anchor eyelets are always weld closed, eyelets can be left open upon request of the customer. • Useful & Heavy Duty, Nicely Priced.
Used as an anchor for a guy wire line we attached to our incoming power line, to keep it from leaning. This anchor was easy to set into the ground - I do recommend that you wait until after a heavy rain and the ground becomes soft. It is also handy to have a large metal pipe or bar to help turn it in the ground - a 6 foot 1 inch pipe from a home improvement box store works well. Very nicely priced, better that we could find anywhere else, both online and at local locations. ... show more

  • Works great, heavy duty design
I use these for attaching permanent guy wires to my 60 ft rohn 25 radio tower. I'll be straight up honest here. Short of a couple of 2-3 ft pipe wrenches or a 4-6 ft wrecking bar or similar tools....You're likely not going to be able to drive these unless you get real creative. Aside from the difficulty of getting them in the ground, they work very well. So plan for how you intend to install these and make sure you have enough room if you do have to use something like a 6 ft breaker bar or wrecking bar, t post, long thick bar or pipe to get the necessary torque. ... show more

  • Great anchor
This is a really heavy duty anchor. It was easy to install, grind it underground a couple feet. Easy as relative, took a three-quarter inch steel pipe and all the strength I could muster.

  • Heavy and strong!
This screw is made to last. It is heavy gauge metal and coated well. The loop at the top is helpful for screwing it in the ground. Used a 5' wooden pole to rotate the screw down into the soil. We used it to tether kayaks in water. Not much of a test against this heavy-duty screw.

  • Good value
I needed to change the guy point for one of the guys on one of my antenna towers. It was just what I expected. It is doing the job fine. Since I already have two 6 foot guy anchors for the other 3 guys in that same direction, a 4 foot guy anchor and our heavy clay soil seemed fine for this purpose.

  • these are heavy duty for sure
I used this product to hold upright post on a 12 foot high wall

  • Too long
I ordered this because of a sagging gate in my fence. I was not sure of the holding capacity so I ordered a four foot anchor. It went in easy, just took a while. It worked just as I imagined. The gate no longer sags and the anchor hasn't moved. I just wish I would have gotten a two footer instead.

  • HEAVY DUTY
Something like 10 tons of working load. Used to guy a 20' bat house. Will be the strongest structural piece.
