First I tried to use an anchor's plastic tip to drill its own pilot hole, but it was slow going. This sheet rock is old and hard. I think it can do it, even by hand with a screwdriver, but I was not in the mood to mess around or repair anything.. I had drill bits right there, so I grabbed a 1/4" and pre-drilled the holes. Then with a Phillips bit, I used the (cordless variable speed) drill to drive the anchors into the wall. Slow speed, steady pressure and they go in, no problem at all. They feel real strong. Asking price was $9.99 for a 104 piece kit. The coarse thread means they go in fast. My only caution in using these is when the anchor is about to bottom out, slow down and ease off on the pressure. The plastic Phillips indentation is very easily stripped, so an anchor will be slightly more difficult to turn in or out. The head of the anchor sticks out proud, only about 2mm from the wall. It's not much but if you want to mount something perfectly flush, indent the backside to accommodate the hanger's head.

My shopping addiction caused my entire closet to collapse and rip off the walls. I immediately knew that I would rebuild it, DIY style. Research brought me to the need to use Drywall Anchors for a more secure hold. This set of drywall anchors and screws is exactly what I was looking for. Please note that the package is securely taped closed, so be careful when opening to avoid spilling all of the pieces. The anchors are slightly larger than the traditional split-apart variety. I understand that different anchors serve different purposes, so if this is what you are looking for, I definitely recommend this set.

These thickened nylon anchors grip securely in drywall without stripping or breaking, while the screws provide load-bearing capacity. No need for a drill! The self-drilling anchors and screws make installation a breeze. Just use a screwdriver, and you’re good to go. You may need to put in elbow grease for some areas, just avoid the studs with the anchors :). The plastic compartment case keeps everything organized. No more searching for loose screws or anchors!

These anchors are a solid choice for hanging shelves, pictures, and other mid-weight items around the house. Installation was straightforward, with the self-drilling feature saving time and effort. They seem to grip the wall firmly, and I haven't had any issues with them holding the weight they're rated for. While they might not be suitable for super-heavy items, they're a great option for most everyday hanging needs. Just keep in mind the weight limit and they should do the trick!

This comes neatly packaged in a reclosable plastic case with two latches. It comes both wrapped in cellophane and also two little strips of tape on the case itself to make sure nothing flies around during shipping. We've received similar products all jumbled up in a mess and it completely defeated the purpose of buying a neat little package, but this was packaged well and stayed exactly in place during shipment. I don't think these are the "breakaway" kind that open up in the wall once you screw them in, but I don't think that's really necessary to be honest. These definitely should hold the drywall well.

Recently, you may have wanted to put an anchor in your drywall and wanted something more substantial than a single thin piece of wire / nail supporting your valuable art! Buy this kit and you will be set for a good long while! One thing to note is that the ability to really hold weight is partially dependent on the thickness of your drywall - ask me how i know :( This is a great product!
