  • Hang stuff without a drill
Size: 50 Pack Style: Nylon
I wanted to try these as they were designed - without a drill. It takes some pressure, but they do go into drywall without drilling. I still think it is easier to just use a drill though. What stood out the most to me was the quality of the anchor. Most of the time if I can't get the screw through the drywall into a stud, I don't hang it. But these anchors really impressed me. By far the best drywall anchors I've ever used. I trusted them enough to hang items right into the drywall. ... show more

  • Best Style of Drywall Screw
Size: 25 Pack Style: Zinc
You can get this type of anchor at any hardware/home store. I can't see much difference from brand to brand. This is the only style of drywall anchor I use anymore. Others tend to pull through the drywall, or spin when you tight up the inserted screw. These anchors are just as good as any other brand of similar anchors, and the price for twenty five of them is pretty good. Typically, I give four stars to products that meet expectations. These meet expectations, and the price is pretty good, so I'll go five stars. What follows is unsolicited advice on how to install these anchors. Don't read if you're not interested: The only negative I can come up with regarding this style of anchor, is that if you want to install two or more of them in a straight line, they can travel a bit as you push them into the dry wall. I've ended up with anchors out of line by as much as an eighth inch. To avoid this, you can mark the holes with a straight edge, then use a punch to start a small a hole. Next, drill a pilot hole the width of the width of the "tongue" on the end of the anchor. Then insert the anchor and screw it tight. Don't over tighten. It is possible (but unlikely) that you can pull break up the drywall if you give it too much torque. The lip of the anchor should sit flat on the surface of the dry wall. Don't try to embed it. It is easier than it sounds, and beats having a shelf that isn't level. ... show more

  • Inexpensive but well made
Size: 50 Pack Style: Zinc
I dont know how many self tapping hollow wall anchors I have tried or use but it's a LOT. I think the day I found the self tapping anchor was like the day I found zip ties. Somewhere there's an inventor who I owe a great deal of thanks to. I bought these to install some over the door vents for our bedrooms. It's an odd missing feature here in the south that we had up in Illinois. The house has two massive returns and yet not a single door has any way for air to flow though or around it. We always had huge returns up north but also had these returns over the doorways so when the air kicked on, the returns pulled the air through the vents. Who cares? This is about the hollow wall anchors right? My point is that I use these for EVERYTHING. Need to hang a picture? Use these. Need to hang shelves, use these. Need to put anything into a wall that doesnt have a stud nearby - USE THESE. I have used at least a half dozen different brands and these are as good as the expensive 'big box' store ones. I will say this...these are alloys, which is the right way to go - the plastic ones are junk. You are better off paying a few bucks more and using these. Right now these are holding up 8 brand new over the door return vents and it was a breeze so you have my vote. Great deal...great product. ... show more

  • Don't hurry especially with a drill screwdriver
Size: 50 Pack Style: Nylon
I really like the idea for these drywall anchors. When everything goes as planned, they are a breeze to use. Take a look at the photo; how cool it looks when screwed into the wall. However, there are a couple of things to note: - I recommend drilling a small pilot hole before using these anchors. It makes the screwing process smoother and prevents the occasional failures I encountered. - Also, I installed several of these anchors and used an electric screwdriver. When it meets some obstacle, you can easily break the anchor and you will have a headache removing it without the ability to unscrew it. Overall, it's a good product that can handle heavy loads without issues. Just be cautious when using them in walls where unexpected obstacles might be present. ... show more

  • Good for the job!
Size: 50 Pack Style: Zinc
You get exactly what you want here. I usually get the plastic versions of these for simple wall hanging jobs, but these metal ones are worth it. No issues spinning out the head or breaking. Good value and qty.

  • These anchors are different from other types of anchors.
Size: 25 Pack Style: Nylon
I thought these anchors had a very flawed design. Theses screws can only be screwed in half way into the anchors because the insertion point is not split. Anchors of this type I've used in the past have a split point so that when the screw penetrates it expands beyond the sheet rock to tighten in place. The screws can only go into the anchor so far with no spreading of the anchor because the end is solid. ***UPDATE: I received detailed instructions from the manufacturer of how these anchors work which were different than the usual anchors I have used in the past. They do now work as expected and I have given a better overall rating. ... show more
