This is high quality castings for the arm and extremely sturdy rubber ball heads. This is modelled after the ram mounts and works great with them. The adaptor ball head to go from 1" down to a 20mm ball is extremely useful for folks trying to piece together a mount for their favorite devices.     • Holds lots of weight, no movement and well made.
This ball mount set is sturdy and comes with lots of options for mounting various items. I don't have need of the smaller double ball or the t-slot, but instead installed my own 1" ball head attachment for a radio holder. This set assembled easily and held strong when tightened up. The rubber ended base plate side easily holds a couple pounds without moving. The main attachment clamp is about 6 inches long, giving you lots of reach. I would have liked to have had more cutout slots on one end to move the ball 90 degrees to the side from the "walls" of the clamp, and not just the opening between the clamp halves.
