  • Very nice heavy duty rake. Love the adjustable length options! Very nice heavy duty rake. Love the adjustable length options!
This leaf rake is very well made. I like that the tines are thick and durable and they are spaced well apart. I’ve had other rakes in the past where the tines were narrow and bent a lot over time. I think this rake will hold up very well without easily bending the tines at all. The rake is very strong, but quite lightweight, only weighing 2 lbs 6 oz and I love the adjustable section lengths. It would be great for a family with younger kids that want to help rake leaves as you can adjust the length to be better for their height. The rake comes in sections, but is very easy to assemble and requires no tools. I had it assembled in just a minute, max. I like that the rake head connects with a snap on connection that is tight and solid, rather than having screws that could come loose and become lost. And, once assembled, the sections fit together nicely and don’t produce any wobble whatsoever. The sections screw in tight and produce a feel of a single piece construction design actually. The diameter of the rake handle is good for raking leaves and the tines section is about 18” wide, which is nice and wide. The length of the rake measures 73” when you have all the sections together, but you can make the rake as short as 36.5”. Each section adds about 12”. So, depending on the height of the person using the rake, you can customize it to be more comfortable for them to use. I think this rake is a very good value. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Nice looking rake that gets the job done.
The Metal leaf rake by Gixmuoiy has worked out very well for our needs. I like that the description says it's stainless steel, so I don't need to worry about rust. I've left it out in the rain the last couple of days to see how it does, and it looks just like it did the day I received the rake. This is a visually pleasing rake that looks modern in our yard tool organizer. I know its appearance won't matter to some people, but I like even the most mundane items to look attractive and modern. This rake does look nice. The rake assembles easily. I didn't time it, but it was finished in about a minute. Each piece went together easily, and there were no problems with the threading. It's well finished, and I didn't find any burrs, rough spots, or sharp edges. Depending on height and task, the pole can be made with one or more of the links left out. For me, an average height female, I found that leaving one link out worked well for me. If you're tall, you'll probably appreciate all the links. The tins seem to be sturdy enough and attached well for light-duty work, like leaves. I've used it a few times already to tidy up wood mulch that drifts onto the walkway. The rake is lightweight and easy to handle. It's not as wide as the traditional 24" leaf rake of my parents' generation, but at around 19" wide, it gets the job done and is easier to maneuver in tighter spaces. ... show more

  • Adjustable Length, Easy Storage, and Effective for Everyday Yard Cleanup Adjustable Length, Easy Storage, and Effective for Everyday Yard Cleanup
I’ve tested this rake for a couple of days around our flat lawn, shrubs, and rose beds. One feature I particularly appreciate is its adjustable design. The handle is assembled from multiple screw-together, lightweight, hollow-feeling aluminum sections that allow the overall length to be customized for different users or tasks. At my height, four sections (approximately 13-3/4 inches each) provided a comfortable working length. I wasn't hunched over while raking and didn't end up with back discomfort after about 30 minutes of use. Also, it’s considerably less weighty than our solid wood, traditional one-piece handle rake. With my wooden handle rake, I wear work gloves to avoid blisters on my hands. I didn’t feel I needed to do that with the metal handle on this tool. Another benefit is how compactly it stores. The rake can be broken down into individual pieces when not in use, which is helpful if garage or shed space is limited. For those who prefer to keep it assembled, the handle includes a hole for hanging storage. I also like the size of the rake head. At about 18 inches wide, it is large enough to gather a moderate number of dead leaves but is still maneuverable around shrubs and in garden beds. I found it clearly best suited for use with leaves and small twigs, and I liked that leaves didn't frequently become stuck on the tines. I appreciated not having to stop repeatedly to remove them! All of that said, the lightweight build of the rake makes it less well-suited for heavy-duty tasks involving rocks, compacted soil, or similar materials. One thing that concerned me when I first assembled it was that the lowest handle section, which attaches to the rake head with a push-button spring style clip, had noticeable play. I wondered whether that looseness would become uncomfortable, affect raking, or in some way cause the other segments to wiggle and unscrew during use. Fortunately, once I started raking, it wasn't noticeable, didn't interfere with the tool's effectiveness, and all the segments remained firmly screwed together. Bottom Line: this has been a useful rake for light to moderate yard maintenance. Its light weight, adjustable length, compact storage, and maneuverable head design make it a versatile option for routine cleanup around my yard. ... show more

  • Great rake for small jobs Great rake for small jobs
I finally got a chance to use my new rake and I have to say it came in very handy. I'm pretty short, so most rakes and gardening tool have a very long handle, which is difficult for me to maneuver around with. I like that with this rake I had the option to make it shorter to meet my needs. Also, the smooth metal finish on the rake head glides through the grass really easily without pulling out chunks. I trimmed my holly bushes in front of my house and the leaves that fell under and behind the bush are always a challenge to get out. This rake did an excellent job of pulling the leaves forward without damaging the hosta plants I have under the bushes. I do think the rake head could have been a little larger for raking an entire lawn of leaves, but it does fit into tight spots easily so that kind of makes up for it. • Excellent rake!
I don't have a single tree in my yard, yet I have mountains of leaves to deal with due to the beautiful and ancient oak trees that lives next door. I needed a rake, so I ordered this Heavy-Duty Garden Rake with the 73-inch adjustable handle. It turns out that I had no concept of what 73-inches looked like. It turns out that the rake is taller than me, but it does not have to be. So, it is very adjustable. Anyone from the shortest to the tallest will be able to customize this rake to the perfect height for them. I think this is a fabulous feature. So many tools are coming with these types of handles and I am loving it. Now the start of the show is the actual rake. I will say that this is really good quality. I took a good look at it and the build, the design, and the materials are all top notch. I believe this rake will serve me for many seasons. I find it to be an excellent value at the current price. ... show more

  • Sturdy Metal Leaf Rake With Adjustable Length Sturdy Metal Leaf Rake With Adjustable Length
This rake feels sturdy compared to many lightweight yard tools I've used. The metal tines are strong enough to gather leaves, pine needles, and light yard debris without bending easily, and the wide rake head covers a good amount of ground with each pass. Assembly was straightforward, and I like that the handle can be adjusted to different lengths, making it comfortable for different users and tasks. What really stands out is the value for the money. The metal construction feels durable, the threaded handle sections stay secure during use, and the rake is lightweight enough to use for longer yard cleanups without excessive fatigue. If you're tired of plastic rakes that crack or flimsy metal ones that bend, this is a practical option that feels built to last. It handled my yard cleanup well and has earned a permanent spot in my gardening tools. ... show more

  • Good for Routine Yard Work, But Not a True Heavy-Duty Rake
This rake has worked well for general yard cleanup and light landscaping tasks, but I think it's important to set expectations appropriately. Despite the "heavy duty" description, I would consider this more of a light- to medium-duty rake rather than something I'd want to use for major projects or extremely demanding work. The biggest advantage is the adjustable handle. Being able to customize the length is genuinely useful, especially if multiple people will be using it. Shorter users can make the handle more manageable, while taller users can extend it to reduce bending and strain. That's a thoughtful feature that many traditional rakes don't offer. The rake head itself performs well for leaves, grass clippings, small debris, and general garden cleanup. It's perfectly adequate for routine maintenance around the yard, flower beds, and shrubs. The reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the handle is made from multiple sections. While that design allows for adjustability and easier storage, it also makes the rake feel a little less sturdy than a one-piece handle. Under normal use it's fine, but there is a bit more flex than I would prefer, and I wouldn't want to put it through extremely heavy-duty tasks. For gathering leaves, cleaning up garden beds, and other everyday chores, it works quite well. I just wouldn't choose it for moving heavy piles of wet debris, tackling large acreage, or jobs where the rake will be subjected to a lot of force. Overall, this is a nice, versatile rake with a useful adjustable handle and good everyday functionality. As long as you view it as a solid light-duty yard tool rather than a commercial-grade workhorse, it's a good purchase. ... show more

  • Unyielding Metal Tines and Detachable Section Loosening
The wide metal head completely lacks the necessary flex needed to glide smoothly over uneven soil, causing the rigid tines to dig deeply into the dirt and pull up chunks of grass instead of just catching the loose debris. I found that the eighteen-inch width is far too clumsy to maneuver between tight shrub branches or around delicate garden borders without accidentally scraping the stems. While the steel construction prevents the individual prongs from snapping under pressure, the overall weight of the assembled unit puts a noticeable strain on my lower back and shoulders during an afternoon of clearing thatch. The ergonomic claims do not translate well to extended use because the slick, unpadded grip requires extra hand pressure to keep the handle from sliding through my palms. It serves fine for basic, flat driveway sweeping, but the weak threaded connections and rigid design make it a poor fit for dynamic landscaping tasks. ... show more
