  • Just what I needed
Went up in 45 minutes, by myself. Sets up like a camping tent. I camp maybe once every 3-5 years so I am no expert. The ropes had to be tweeked after I set it all up but that only took a few minutes. Better to set up then adjust to your needs. It's not as tight as the pictures but I really didn't expect it to be; for a few hundred bucks I wasn't expecting a steel cage. I use it with the lite flite so that has to be taken into consideration when purchasing. That said, it does not snap into the jugs machine but I rigged it to my needs with the pitching hole it comes with cut out of it. I have yet to experience a big storm but I am not worried about it. • A decent, affordable batting cage
We have had this batting cage for about a year. It has worked well and was a good deal for the price. However, after being outside in the elements for a year, we had to move so we packed it up in the box and then reassembled it at our new place. When putting it back together, the netting was so brittle it starting tearing apart in multiple places. We will probably have to buy a new net from the manufacturer, which is $100. I guess one year of of use is the life span for the netting. Perhaps the netting would have lasted longer if we hadn't moved and had to take it down and put it back together. I also wish the hole for the pitching machine was bigger. It was built to fit the heater pitching machine which is sold by the same company. It works great with this pitching machine, which clips onto the netting perfectly. But if you have a different type of pitching machine (like a mechanical spring loaded one), it won't work with this cage. ... show more

  • Great product for practicing hitting
The netting on this cage is perfect. Building the product is tedious the first time and not really great instructions but overall once it’s up , it works great. Added feature of the net hole with connections for heater pitching machines makes it even better! I’d recommend this product to the baseball crew ... show more

  • Net it worthless and WILL fall apart very quickly
BEWARE! The thread used to sew the three pieces of the net together is NOT made of UV RESISTANT MATERIAL. While the three main pieces of the net will withstand the outdoors the threading used is NOT UV RESISTANT. So the middle, front and back sections will detach making this unusable. I am having to rethread and tie the three sections back together using a UV Resistant thread from Home Depot which will take HOURS. I do not know why they did this. But you will need to do this. It would not make the cost of the net anymore expensive since 99% is already UV resistant. This is a major design and production flaw. I’m hoping they will send me another one. It was in my backyard for about five months. It’s ridiculous. ... show more

  • After 1.5 years of having this and minimal hitting in it, it’s falling apart.
Love the idea and ease of set up. Net started falling apart in a year of owning. Now at 1.5 years of ownership, we have huge holes all over the net. Need to throw away and replace. Bummer.

  • Not a bad product for the price
Not a bad product for the price. Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 14 year old to do T work with. By myself I was able to set the entire net up in about a hour. The directions we a bit vague but not to hard to follow. It did take some time to make all the final tension adjustments to the lines in order to keep the net taught but I expected that to be the case. By the time I was done the net stayed very firm and gave very little movement when the ball hit it. My son is super excited to have it and I am very pleased with the overall product. However, please note that you should not hammer the ground stakes directly into the ground. The rubber insert that the poles mount into cannot withstand the direct force of a hit with a hammer. You may wish to consider taking a 2 x 4 piece of wood and using that as a buffer instead. Note: The system I received was slightly different than the one shown in the pictures. The net has to be draped over the poles not hung from underneath with eyelets as shown in the pictures. Also, there are 7 eyelets in the poles for guide lines for the net but the instructions only show 4, likewise, only enough lines was provided for 4. Not sure what the other 3 were supposed to be for. I did use my own tie line to run another guide line through the top eyelets to prevent the net from possible sagging. I will let it sit for a few days to let it stretch a bit and them make some further adjustments. I anticipate adding an additional stake to the top center as added support. ... show more

  • Broke within a couple hours without even using, poor customer service
This was relatively easy, albeit time consuming to set up. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. When I set it up, it looked great and we were very excited to use it. Unfortunately a weld broke off of one of the rods before we even had a chance to get my son's pitching machine set up. This caused most of one of the ends to collapse, which bent several other rods and a couple of the spikes in the ground. I contacted customer service and they were fast to respond. I asked to send the whole thing back because I was nervous that more welds would fail in the near future since one failed within the first couple hours. They offered to send me a whole new unit, so I agreed to keep it thinking I'd have several backups if multiple rods failed again. A couple days later I got a single rod in the mail. When I asked the seller again about it, they would not fulfill their original promise, so I'm sending the entire thing back. I would not recommend this product as the quality is subpar and their customer service is disorganized and dishonest. My son was CRUSHED that he didn't get to use this thing, need to find an alternative now and go through all the hassle of boxing this thing up and shipping it back. So very disappointed. ... show more

  • Hard to beat for the price
I put 2 kits together to make it over 40’. Install is pretty simple but an extra set of hands to put the net up is almost a must. The string provided is kind cheap junk and I’ve replaced almost all of it with inexpensive para cord. I have had mine up for a year and half without taking it down, it’s sustained Texas heat and really high winds. It just broke its first pole a week ago. Another thing I added was a 100’ construction light cord, kids play in it during the winter season. I live in a pretty strict hoa and have had no issues with it being up. ... show more
