I'm 5'7" and 195 lbs. I normally wear a Large vest, though it has gotten almost a bit tight ever since having gained 20 lbs during the past year. The XL one fits me perfectly. With sizing taken care of, there are 2 batteries included. They connect via USB cable. The heating element is activated by long-pressing the power button found on the exterior, upper, left chest. Push the same button to cycle through the different heat levels. You can immediately feel the heat building up around the neck... it felt really good. It eventually heated up the chest, upper & lower back, abs and arms too. It was actually getting too hot in California as we are still in a heat wave. I can see it becoming very useful in a couple months while going winter camping in Yosemite. My biggest concern about this jacket is whether the heating element is safe and would catch on fire. The product description claims CE certification and to be safe. I certainly hope so. During my tests, it appears to be quite safe. Only time will tell, and I hope I'd never have to find out otherwise. The vest itself -- even without the heater turned on -- is quite warm and looks great. As long as the vest continues to operate safely, this is one of those "life changing" products to take camping/boondocking.

This vest heats up nicely. Not overly warm, but worn under a jacket or coat it keeps the chill away. It has two outside pockets. One on the inside holds the battery pack. The pack itself charges easily and fairly fast. It can also double as an emergency power supply for your phone. It has a digital display battery charge indicator. It has pulls to adjust both the bottom of the vest and the hood. It is made so that the pull cords stay secure and do not get lost in the liner. A nice well made feature. The temperature control is easy to use. It does not however have an on light for this control. What it does have is an on/off, low, high, and a lock button so that the setting stays where you put it. The material is silky feeling. I added a picture of the tag it has the washing instructions. The material itself can be spot cleaned with a damp rag which is useful. The only problem I had was getting the zipper unstuck. I'll count this as partial user error because I was in a hurry. But also due to there not being a second seem along the zipper. Overall I am happy with it.

***Final update*** So as stated before, customer service reached out to me. After multiple attempts to see if we could come up with a solution to fix the first one. It was finally determined there was something wrong with the jacket itself. So without hesitation they sent me a replacement. And i am so happy to report it works fantastic! Aside from the sizing being off in the torso it really is an amazing jacket, and even better, and amazing seller/customer service team. Thanks again for all the help! Now 5 stars for sure! Buy from them guys..... they are fantastic. **UPDATE** Customer service was super quick to reach out to me on the battery issues. I sent videos of what it was doing and they let me know new batteries are in route. So that alone is worth bumping it up from 1 star to 3 stars! They were super nice and did well to even help me out trying to find a way to get the videos to them since it kept saying file too large om here so they could show their team...... will update again once the new batteries arrive...... but until then..... A+ ON CUSTOMER SERVICE! So i was so excited to get this one since it actually has the heating elements on the neck. It arrived today, i got the batterys charged to 99% which is the highest its registering. Put it on and i kid you not, 3 mins later (literally just over 3 mins) i pull the battery back out and its already down to 87%.......... seriously???? Wow..... just wow. For such an expensive jacket i expected more. Then to top it off, i am a very tiny woman, 105 pounds, 5'3" i got a small and when i bent my arm at the elbow it pinched the crap out of my arm, is way to tight in that area.....way too tight. Theres literally no room for any muscle flexion. I am a twig, you could literally fit two of me in the body of the jacket its so big...... so why the super tiny arms?? come on. Nope..... not at this price point. Sending back...... disappointed.

The coat is warm, when you turn it on it does not take long to heat, it feels good when it is cold outside, I only needed it on low. Water resistant, and storage pockets. Gozvrpu company included the wrong cable with the battery, I emailed them and told them I could not charge the battery, they send me the correct cable now I can charge the battery, 2 batteries are included with the coat, so 1 can be charged while the other is in use, good purchase.
