I have used this hair oil for three days with no problems and I'm seeing a definite anti-frizz effect in 80F / 80% humidity weather. I went out for a run with a cap and ponytail, wisps hanging out the front, and my hair stayed nice and straight. I have curly, dry, sort of thin, but fairly voluminous hair that gets horribly frizzy in hot humid weather. I applied the Violav hair oil after straightening and I applied it again just before straightening the next day. It did seem to protect and help straighten it nicely. Nice citrus scent. Feels like an oil with a hint of silicone in it. I looked up all the ingredients and they all seem safe to use. I have in the past had allergic reactions to certain hair oils that made my face all red and itchy (I think after it got on my pillow and I slept on it). But Violav does not bother my skin at all, despite leaving it on for three days. As they say, a little bit goes a long way. I have also reapplied it a few times without my hair turning greasy. I think Violav may well help prevent my hair from breaking.

This anti-frizz, heat protective hair oil came in a plain brown box and the ingredients are not listed on the bottle or in the listing. Very happy to see what it doesn't contain... sulfates, plus... but since it is an anti-frizz serum I can only assume it is silicone-based. I don't use silicone-based ingredients on my hair as over time the silicone can build up and create dry hair. I was hoping that the label would prove me wrong, but no ingredient list, so I can't take a chance on this product. 8/4/24 Amendment; The president of this company was nice enough to reach out to me and apologized for the lack of instructions/ingredient list with this product. Apparently, there was an error in production that resulted in a number of the products being shipped unboxed & without instructions. He also sent images of the original packaging, including the ingredient list and directions on using the product... a few drops massaged into your hair. The ingredients listed dimethiconol as its 2nd ingredient, so I can now confirm that this product has silicone in it. Unfortunately, silicone is not water-based, so it builds up in hair over time; however, there is a solution... an apple cider vinegar rinse after shampooing your hair will release the silicone buildup. So, while I do not use silicone in my hair, and I noticed no other harmful components among this product's ingredients, I am amending my original review from 1 to 3 stars. Remember to use sparingly and perform a vinegar rinse if you notice build up.

I just need to apply 2-3 drops to my hair to help combat the frizzies. I didn't see much more of a shine than normal though. The shine may be more noticeable on straight hair, but feels lightweight on my hair and is not greasy looking. I think will make a good heat protectant. It has a sweet, almost floral scent and is very pleasant. The Shine Oil comes in a clear acrylic plastic bottle with twist cap, and there is a little stopper insert to control the amount of drops it dispenses. There are no ingredients listed on the bottle of this Shine Oil, but they can be found on the listing ad, see below: Ingredients Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool, Bumetrizole. Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate. Citral, Citronellol, Cl 47000 (D&C Yellow 11), Aqua (Water), Hyrolyzed Vegetable Protein. I have thinner hair but it's frizzy and hard to tame. I got this shine oil to try it out and the before & after pics are after my first use. I didn't try to straighten or blow dry my hair after cleaning it and the oil was put on after I got out of the shower and towel dried my hair. It worked really well on my frizzy, untamed hair! The oil is paraben-free, sulfate-free, and cruelty-free, plus it smells great (a very light scent). It did not come with any pamphlet or instructions, so I went back to the listing and it says "apply 2-3 drops to damp or dry hair" and then style your hair as you wish and do not rinse it out. This small bottle of oil should last a while with only 3 drops each time. I think that continued use will make a difference so I'm thrilled to have this in my hair supplies. The ingredients are in the listing as follows: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool, Bumetrizole. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length, but it's very fine and I don't have as much of it as I would like, and yet I lost count as to how much of the product I had to use but probably more than 50 drops and still some areas of my hair looked dry. I started with three drops rubbed them in my palms and smoothed it down my hair then brushed it through. Then did the same exact thing again and again and again, over and over, targeting different sections of hair until I gave up, ran a brush through it one last time and just put it up in a bun. The scent is light and pleasant enough. But it feels kinda greasy to me. However, if it offers some protection from my flat iron, then ok.

Good hair frizz treatment. It’s small and easy to carry in my bag or on trips. It’s not very oily for the hair and it doesn’t really oil up my hair that I can’t go outside with. It does give my hair a shine when used and allows me to be able to control my frizz much better. The bottle is a squeezer and it squirts a bit much though so I use it carefully as you don’t need much to get your hair worked out well.
