I tried myself and it works fine. You can hear everything kind of acoustic, even my own steps. Now let's see when I give it to my father, he's 92 years old and his hearing has deteriorated.

I received my hearing amplifiers yesterday and am still adjusting to them! I have problems with hearing soft voices and these do the trick! And by the way, Homvos is NOT a SCAM like a hearing aid company that I purchased hearing aids from that do not work. You just have to adjust to wearing them but I only use one in right ear! ... show more

These are great alternative for hearing aides. These are noise amplifier and has 3 volume settings. The higher the volume the more crackle you hear in the background, like a candy wrapper noise in the distance. They come with 3 sizes of tips to help them fit snugly in your ear. Seems super easy to use. So far I have used to watch TV, and it does amplify the sound. I bought these because I am a closed captionor and sometimes people do not speak loud enough for me to have an accurate transcript. I like them.
