My 96 yo mother lost a one Hearing aid. Her insurance would cover a new one except for a $500 deductible. I opted to purchase this set for $70. EVERYONE who needs to speak to my mom, is very pleased that she hears almost everything with normal speaking volume. The reason for only 4 stars is that they have both a volume dial and on/off switch. I'd prefer only volume.     • Excellent budget option for seniors
I bought these for my elderly father who can’t afford custom hearing aids and they have worked really well for him. I chose these because of the simple controls…one button to turn on/off, one dial to control volume. I also especially like the feature that the storage case doubles as a charging base. Unfortunately this feature stopped working after the return window had closed. although the hearing aids can be charged individually with the cable provided, it is not as convenient as charging them in the base. I contacted the seller about the malfunctioning base and they immediately responded and sent out a replacement. My father immediately took to these hearing aids and I can tell he is better able to follow what is happening around him because he can hear better. I would buy this again. ... show more

What a great pair of hearing aids. My hearing has diminished over the years due largely for working without loud equipment with proper hearing protection. This is my first step into the use of hearing aids. It has USB charging of the hearing aids in their case or individually. Leds give all the required information about the charging process. No replacing of tiny batteries also because it's rechargeable. Not included is the USB power supply but we have plenty all over the house from phones, pads even the computers. They're very similar to ones that you've seen - very discreet. The price is perfect for anyone looking to begin using an aid or to replace broken outdated ones. Granted it doesn't have some programming functions, bluetooth compatability or being totally hidden within the ear but for those you'd have to pay 2 or 3 thousand dollars more. Love the fact that they charge in a device and I don't have to deal with tiny batteries. The wire that goes into my ear seemed a bit long, but looking at the picture, I see that it curls around in the outer ear which solves the problem and also helps hold it in place. It is a bit large to fit behind my ear but for the price, I'll make do. I like being able to tell people that they no longer have to shout!! ... show more
