This is a small, but useful tote that I like because it slides easily under low furniture like desks, credenzas and beds. I like that the totes can be stored single-file (flat) or stacked, depending on my storage needs. Be sure you study the size of the tote; it may not be suitable for larger or bulkier items, but works great for small objects or small collections of things, such as a bottle cap collection in my case. I thought it might hold a reasonable collection of seasonal greeting cards, but it wasn’t quite large enough for that. The totes are reasonably strong and can handle weighty stuff, like rolled coins, another good use for them. The unit is made to be stackable and additional totes stack securely on top of one another. Just be careful that you don’t stack too high, or put heavier objects hire in the stack due to tipping, especially on potentially uneven surfaces like thick carpet. Also, by design, the lid on the box is two-piece with “puzzle-piece” design. Study this and make sure this is a good feature for you. It takes two hands and a little care to close the dual flaps over the storage area in the crate. ... show more

    • Tough built container
The blue container is tough because it's made of hard and thick plastic that doesn’t bend when I place a heavy load on top. It has hinged lids that I have to interlock when closing. On each end, near the center, there is a hole through which I can pass a zip tie or lock - essentially, I can double lock it. The inside dimensions are about 6.5 inches tall, slightly less than 18 inches long, and 10 inches wide. On the bottom, I see that it’s made of plastic number 7, 2 HDPE, and 5 PP. The outside length at the top is about 19.5 inches, and at the bottom, it is less than 17 inches at the edge. It is 11.5 inches wide at the top and 9.25 inches wide at the bottom. The height is around 7 inches on the outside. It has handles on each side to carry the container. I guess this container is for indoor use only as water can enter through gaps where the lids interlock. ... show more
