The usb c port failed so I purchased this item so I am able to use my docking station. The price was a bit steep but wanted to give it a try. The item get hot to the touch so I have to unplug item and let it cool down. Its easy to use and works out great for what I needed it for. The item does not charge my laptop.

I think there is a problem with the product itself - not just the units I received. When using the SwitchFlux, my monitor would blink on and off the whole time. I bought these to use with a pair of smart glasses and my nintendo switch. The flashing of the screen off and on both made the game unplayable and nauseating. When I asked for a replacement unit because mine was malfunctioning, I received a unit with the exact same problem. These seem to be cheaply made and I doubt they have any quality assurance team members or else they would know that this product is unusable. Ihave tried connecting it to my Switch and my PS5 as the hosts and using my Viture Smart Glasses and a monitor as the receivers and no combination of devices has worked. Save your money and get a converter that costs a little more but is guaranteed to work!

Does exactly as described. I bought this to be able to use XR glasses while connected to my phone and still charge phone while connected to usbc hub and a power bank. No issues with quality or functionality. Works on my Android phones as well as iPad.

Works, but not for my needs - Does NOT work with XREAL One glasses After much troubleshooting and playing with settings, I got a different brand(fairikabe) of adapter recommended by another XREAL One owner that worked out of the box with the XREAL Ones glasses specifically

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have a Looking Glass Go. I use it to demo holography to users working with 3D scans. The LGG only has one working USB-C port, which is used for both display signal and power. Although it works well with a laptop computer, I ran into a problem when I wanted to connect it to a desktop computer with only HDMI outputs. I think a specific HDMI to USB-C adapter is needed. The adapter also needs to provide power to LGG. This adapter says it can provide 5W (5Vx1A) max. Using a USB-A port on a desktop computer can power the LGG no problem.

It does work in theory. I was able to get it to output video to a portable monitor. But even after updating my xreal one, no video could be detected. Since that was my primary purpose, I’d have to return it.
