This HDMI switch is a nicely built device and it properly supports resolution up to 4K@60Hz and is HDMI 2.0 compliant as advertised. It has a durable aluminum casing with a very well-designed selector that give it the feel of a quality product. I like the unit so much that I purchased another for my secondary set up. However, to my dismay, although these units were purchased only 2 months apart, the newer iteration of this unit has the HDMI cable permanent attached to the unit instead of being detachable and is also contrary to the photo would have you believe on its product website. Since there's no mention of this fact in the description of the item, I found to be deceptive and was quite annoyed. However, the unit does still work, it just does not have the flexibility of my first unit with the detachable HDMI cord should it every become damaged in some fashion. For this, I've decided to keep it but am deducting one star for my review. Overall, this is still a quality product despite the misleading photo/advertisement, but I still do recommend it. ... show more

This does its job, and I have no complaints about that. The only issue is that the button to toggle between monitors sometimes needs a double click and sometimes just a single click to switch. Besides that, I honestly cannot complain. It was plug and play from the get go and the picture quality seems good, but I do not have a 4k or monitor that would really test this. Besides the minor annoyance of the switch being weird, it does come with that 3.3' HDMI cord and that saved my bacon, since I only had really long ones, and I just needed exactly 3.3' of HDMI cord. I had forgotten it was even included so I was super happy about that. That and no flickering or bad picture quality. I use it to merge my Xbox Series X and my OLED Nintendo Switch outputs into my Samsung soundbar. It works just fine. Just remember to put your primary device into port 1 because it tends to go back to port 1 by default after some time of inactivity.

I bought this as my TV only has 2 HDMI ports and I have a cable box, a ROKU, and a DVD player. I use this to switch between the ROKU and the DVD player and it works like the proverbial charm, the picture quality on both is excellent and the pushbutton operation is so easy even my wife can understand it! The cable box will likely be departing soon as soon as she can learn how to work the ROKU but, in the meantime, it's working wonderfully. This is a great bi-directional HDMI switch, i.e., 2 in to 1 out OR 1 in to 2 out. The "User Guide" is not especially useful but it DOES emphasize correctly correctly orienting HDMI plugs and not using excessive force to connect.
