  • It does the trick - takes some figuring to get right.
Size: 2*HDMI KVM Switch 2 Monitors
My setup: 1 MacBook Pro M2 14 inch 1 Mac Mini M1 1 23" Viewsonic Monitor 1 27" Dell monitor Sonoma 14.4.1 I use dual extended monitors. NOTE: I needed 2 USBC hubs (anker 223) to make this work. I had read other reviews and was prepared for this. The instructions also (badly) explain this. I had to play around with the setup to get it right. I'm hoping the picture I included is clear enough to make sense for how I set it up. I set it up and made sure all of the signals worked as they should with my Mini and then set up the laptop. The order in which you connect the HDMI inputs is important because it will affect the resolution settings. Your results may vary and you may have to systematically plug things in to figure out what works. (learn from my mistake and make sure your cables are seated firmly - I wasted a good 20 minutes figuring that out) Once you get past the initial setup it seems to work very well. Switching is clean and precise and I have no issues with peripherals (keyboards, usb hubs and trackpads) I did need to get a USB adapter for my headphones so that I can use one set for both machines. The adapter will plug into the USB A that is directly under the wired remote input on the diagram. ... show more

  • Stopped working after 3 weeks
Size: 2*HDMI KVM Switch 2 Monitors
The headline says it all. It worked fine for about three weeks, and then it stopped. Switching between PCs takes forever, and often, only one monitor is visible. The other one appears after 2-3 minutes. I need to press the switch between PCs knob (both the remote and on-board) 10 times before it starts to react. I do not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Works great for my WFH rig - FYI about USB connections
Size: KVM Switch 2 Monitors 3 Computers
This KVM is exactly what I needed. I have 3 computers (2MBP 1 macmini) with 2 monitors which share a keyboard and webcam. (Separate bluetooth mouse for each and headset). One click I can swap everything over for my monitors which is great. The only thing that was weird was the USB ports. When I plugged in the keyboard/webcam to the front of the KVM - I could see the USB devices being powered but things were not working on the computers. I had the computers connected from the KVM using a USB-A to USB-C - due to the mbp port configuration. After some fiddling I realized I needed to connect a USB-A to USB-A from the KVM to an adaptor which then plugged into the mbp. I couldn't figure out why the direct connection didn't work but the lack of USB-A on the mpb required some sort of adaptor. I like the device and it works for what I need. ... show more

  • Don't purchase if you have HDMI only monitors
Size: HDMI+DP KVM Switch 2 Monitors
TL;DR: DON'T BUY IF YOU ONLY HAVE HDMI INPUT ON YOUR MONITORS I bought this for switching between my personal desktop and work laptop. I selected this one since my GPU only has DP outputs and my laptop dock as HDMI and DP outputs. Both my monitors are HDMI only inputs and have been working fine directly connected to both with active DP (source) to HDMI (output) cables. Thus I expected this KVM to work perfectly. It did not work for the DP video source. I was able to use the DP to HDMI cables into the KVM and get one monitor working, but connecting the other monitor to the DP output refused to work. The best I could do was get a black screen without any video signal. I tried multiple combos of cables, including DP to DP from my GPU to the KVM with no luck. I returned this for the HDMI only version which works perfectly with the active DP to HDMI cables I have. If you need perfect DisplayPort switching with EDID support, pony up for the Level1Techs product. Otherwise it seems to be a nice and compact unit at a good price. I appreciate at least some cables are included. ... show more

  • Works well at a basic level
Size: HDMI+DP KVM Switch 2 Monitors
It does what it's designed to do; 2 Desktop computers, into two large, high resolution displays, with no perceivable loss of quality. Easy push button switching. I'm running local AIs and when one is busy I switch to the other. There are some minor issues though. 1. The second computer won't come out of sleep mode with mouse or keyboard movement. It's the exact same mouse & keyboard that did wake the computer without the switch. 2. One of my monitors won't go to sleep when connected to the switch. ... show more

  • Camgeet Makes an Excellent KVM Switch
Size: HDMI+DP KVM Switch 2 Monitors
I've used a KVM in the past and thought I'd give this unit a whirl. The Camgeet (love the name) KVM switch has a compact footprint, about as big as a bar of soap, which I appreciate. It was easy to install, with one issue that I resolved. I have two computers, one running Windows and the other running Linux Mint. When I installed this KVM switch the Windows box performed perfectly but when I toggled to the Linux Mint box, one monitor was sporadically dropping the signal, either going dark or displaying strange artifacts when it did work. I traced the problem to the HDMI cable coming from my Linux box. Replacing it with a higher quality HDMI cable quickly resolved the problem. I also decided to replace the rest of the GPU cables to the switch with higher quality DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI cables. and also the short output cables between the KVM switch and the two monitors (the KVM feeds the monitors through an HDMI cable to one and a DisplayPort cable to the other) as well as the two USB cables from the computers to the switch. Once you figure out the cabling it's not difficult to understand how it works and you can appreciate the flexibility that this device offers. A bonus is the ability to share four USB ports with two computers, making it easy to copy files from one to the other as well as sharing a USB keyboard and mouse. The Camgeet KVM is a solid performer that freed up a lot of real estate on my computer desk. I enjoy being able to switch between a Windows computer and a Linux computer almost instantly as well as being able to run dual monitors to expand my work spaces. The KVM has a toggle switch on top of the case and also has a wired toggle switch that can be placed close to your keyboard or mounted permanently. In summary, the solid Camgeet KVM was a bargain with the 30% off coupon. A minor cable issue was quickly resolved. If you purchase one be prepared to upgrade your cables to make it perform reliably. ... show more
