  • Works great for my WFH rig - FYI about USB connections
Size: 4K KVM Switch 2 Monitors 3 Computers
This KVM is exactly what I needed. I have 3 computers (2MBP 1 macmini) with 2 monitors which share a keyboard and webcam. (Separate bluetooth mouse for each and headset). One click I can swap everything over for my monitors which is great. The only thing that was weird was the USB ports. When I plugged in the keyboard/webcam to the front of the KVM - I could see the USB devices being powered but things were not working on the computers. I had the computers connected from the KVM using a USB-A to USB-C - due to the mbp port configuration. After some fiddling I realized I needed to connect a USB-A to USB-A from the KVM to an adaptor which then plugged into the mbp. I couldn't figure out why the direct connection didn't work but the lack of USB-A on the mpb required some sort of adaptor. I like the device and it works for what I need. ... show more

  • Works quite well, but missing one key feature
Size: Voice control 2*DP KVM Switch 2 Monitors
4 stars if not for 1 small flaw. The USB ports seem to only support peripherals (mouse, keyboard), storage, wirless dongles, and printers. Plugging in a USB DAC will throw an error โ€œUSB device not recognizedโ€. The same device worked fine when plugged directly into either PC and when plugged into a simple powered usb 3 switch. It seems that only certain devices are supported. You will need to experiment with your own and see if it fits your needs. Setup was straightforward. Everything worked great (monitors, resolution, frame rate, peripherals). Would recommend this product to most people. ... show more

  • Camgeet Makes an Excellent KVM Switch
Size: HDMI+DP KVM Switch 2 Monitors 2 Computers
I've used a KVM in the past and thought I'd give this unit a whirl. The Camgeet (love the name) KVM switch has a compact footprint, about as big as a bar of soap, which I appreciate. It was easy to install, with one issue that I resolved. I have two computers, one running Windows and the other running Linux Mint. When I installed this KVM switch the Windows box performed perfectly but when I toggled to the Linux Mint box, one monitor was sporadically dropping the signal, either going dark or displaying strange artifacts when it did work. I traced the problem to the HDMI cable coming from my Linux box. Replacing it with a higher quality HDMI cable quickly resolved the problem. I also decided to replace the rest of the GPU cables to the switch with higher quality DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI cables. and also the short output cables between the KVM switch and the two monitors (the KVM feeds the monitors through an HDMI cable to one and a DisplayPort cable to the other) as well as the two USB cables from the computers to the switch. Once you figure out the cabling it's not difficult to understand how it works and you can appreciate the flexibility that this device offers. A bonus is the ability to share four USB ports with two computers, making it easy to copy files from one to the other as well as sharing a USB keyboard and mouse. The Camgeet KVM is a solid performer that freed up a lot of real estate on my computer desk. I enjoy being able to switch between a Windows computer and a Linux computer almost instantly as well as being able to run dual monitors to expand my work spaces. The KVM has a toggle switch on top of the case and also has a wired toggle switch that can be placed close to your keyboard or mounted permanently. In summary, the solid Camgeet KVM was a bargain with the 30% off coupon. A minor cable issue was quickly resolved. If you purchase one be prepared to upgrade your cables to make it perform reliably. ... show more

  • Don't Get if You Need Display Port 1.4
Size: 2*DP KVM Switch 2 Monitors
I bought this to swap between my work computer(Mac Book Pro) and my personal computer(2 Year old higher end gaming PC), to connect to use my main monitor(Slightly older less optimized 4k 144hz monitor) which requires the full bandwidth of display port 1.4, and my support monitor(1440p 144hz monitor). Let's start with the good: - The switching was fast, and the included remote worked well, including all USB and monitors - It was easy to tell which system was on - 4 ports was more than enough for my, and probably most people's needs for swapping back and forth - It includes pretty much everything you need to make it work, including 2 display port cables, the switch, and two male USB type A to male USB type A cables, which aren't standard in most places, but do seem to be standard on KVMs - There was no response time issues for my mouse and keyboard plugged in through the kvm, which was one of my main concerns Now on to the Bad My only real gripe, and the ONLY reason I purchased this KVM is that you don't get the promised full Display Port 1.4 bandwidth, my main monitor requires that to output 4k at 144hz, it is a limitation of the monitor, and has been a pain in a few areas, but I used two short known good cables, purchased from good reputable sources, and independently can handle running my main monitor. When I connected it via the KVM I would get intermittent flashing when the refresh rate got above 60hz. My MacBook worked fine as the most it could output was 60hz, but something would happen above that level that would cause the screen to flash, regardless of the task. I did try powering the KVM to see if that would solve the issue. but it was a no go. My verdict: This gets 2 star because it did not deliver what was advertised, and what I needed, but if you are looking for a kvm that isn't requiring the full bandwidth of display port 1.4, like for a pair of 1440p monitors this will likely work great for you. ... show more
