  • Great Floating Bookshelves!
Color: Bamboo 8 Slots 4pcs
Background: I saw on Bored Panda that one can turn dish racks into floating book shelves relatively easily. Just a few Command hooks at the top, hang it vertically and *boom* bookshelf. I bought way too many books for my New Year's resolution to read more and my current bookshelf is overflowing. I do not have the space for another standing bookshelf, so this seemed like an easy way to create more shelving without taking up floor space. The dish racks/ shelves: They are solidly built. The rungs are an inch and a half apart vertically and 5 inches apart horizontally. The rungs cannot be pulled out (much to my dismay). One would have to break them out, if they wanted more than an inch and a half between them. I mention this because it limited the size of the books I could put in between the rungs. Setting up the shelves and putting in the books: I put a single nail into the drywall at the top of the dish rack. I like the idea of using Command strips, but I don't like hearing a thump in the middle of the night and wondering if it was my books falling to the ground or an intruder. The single nail worked very well. I found out soon enough that this means of shelving works best for thinner hardcover books or thicker paperbacks. The rungs only extend about 3 inches, so some of my books "slump" (see pic). I fixed this by putting either paperboard or cardboard beneath the book and the problem was solved (see other pic). Overall, I love the look and have found a great way to display my books. I don't have to take the entire stack off the shelf to access the books on the bottom. I cleared out 46 books from my standing bookshelf! So, now all my books thicker than 1 inch are in my standing bookshelf and all my thinner books are in my floating shelves. I wish they had a commenting feature on Amazon reviews because I'd love to see what you all come up with. Painted floating shelves. If you broke off a few rungs and liked to be able to put your big books in them too. Please leave reviews if you do this too! I'd love to see where your creativity take you! :) ... show more

  • An inexpensive but functional plate rack
Color: Bamboo 8 Slots 2pcs
This item is easy to put together and is sturdy enough for its purpose. It holds eight large (dinner-size) plates but would not work for smaller plates.

  • Works like it should, but I'd probably wood glue the pegs
Color: Bamboo 8 Slots 2pcs
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm trying to reorganize my kitchen cabinets, and my MIL had these bamboo plate holders in her cabinets that don't have a door on them. Not only was it pleasing to look at, it was also so easy to grab a plate, and load it with food. I found these, and immediately purchased them in the two pack that holds eight plates for 9.99. When I got them in, the only putting together you need to do is attach two wooden pegs to each "side" by slipping then in the hole cut out and pressing them together. This was a bit difficult for me, and I ended up laying it on it's side, making sure the pegs were in the hole area, and then tapping on it gently with a hammer to get the pegs to push down. After that it does come with rubber pieces for the bottom that stick on, and I placed those on each one. When I put these up there, I immediately realized I didn't take into account the height of the bamboo bottom piece as my plates wouldn't fit upright. But I slanted them forward, and they fit fine! I have the Noritake colorwave plates that are 10 3/4 tall for reference. The two white plate's are from Walmart, and are the divider plate that's 10.25 in height. So far, I absolutely love these plate holders, and plan to purchase two more for my other plate set. The pegs that hold the plates up can sometimes come loose if you're pushing the plate in (since my curve), but I've only had it happen once so far. If it continues I'll probably wood glue the pegs in there. Otherwise this is an awesome plate holder, and I do recommend! ... show more

  • Handy for keeping cutting boards handy with the bonus of looking sharp
Color: Bamboo 3 Slots 1pcs
I suppose this would be great as a plate holder or drying rack. I have several bamboo and wood cutting boards in various sizes that I have arranged by increasing size in this. It keeps them handy and looks sharp in the kitchen next to the magnetic block holding my knives. After use, it keeps the cutting boards separated slightly to allow them to thoroughly dry to avoid warping. It also keeps them separated when they get their regular mineral oil coating. ... show more

  • sturdy but bit too small
Color: Bamboo 4 Slots 1pcs
I did not expect this rack is smaller than I expected, but it is still ok to use it. The good thing is this is a wood based rack and it is quite stable for heavy lid in the kitchen. I wish they could make this bit bigger

  • Sturdy & Space‑Saving
Color: Bamboo 4 Slots 2pcs
I bought this 2‑pack of HBlife bamboo drying racks to help organize my kitchen, and they’ve turned out to be even more useful than I expected. The bamboo is smooth, well‑finished, and feels sturdier than many other racks I’ve tried. Each rack is lightweight but holds plates without wobbling. Assembly is as simple as pushing the dowels into the base, and everything fits snugly. Because they’re bamboo, they look clean and natural on the counter, and they don’t take up much space. They’re easy to wipe down and haven’t warped or loosened with daily use. ... show more
