Description

Trusted by Campers, Vanlifers, and Supermoms. Roll. Clip. Go. Visit the Store Transform your backseat into a real bed Now you can rest after a day outdoors. Upgrade your camp setup with memory foam pad for cot. Unroll. Relax. Sleep. A guest bed that feels like home Yes, that’s one of its biggest advantages. Many customers use it as a guest bed, sleepover pad, or SUV/RV mattress. Definitely. It rolls tightly, secures with straps, and fits into the included travel bag with shoulder straps. Simply unzip and remove the soft cover, it’s machine washable. The foam interior can be wiped with a damp cloth. Easy, hygienic, and perfect for camping trips or guest use. Is the length really adjustable? Yes, it adjusts from 72″ down to 52, the pin on the frame marks the max bed size. It's three steps: 1. Press the adjustment pin on the frame rail. 2. Slide the frame in to the length you need 3. Unroll the platform onto the frame Will it fit my vehicle? Measure your cargo area first. You need a clear area 26″ wide and between 52″ and 72″ long, set the frame to whatever your space allows. It fits full-size SUVs, vans, and truck beds; mid-size trucks generally want the tailgate down Is a mattress included? Is it comfortable to sleep on? No mattress is included since this is a sleeping platform. Its job is to give you a flat, level, solid surface where you'd otherwise be lying across folded seats. But the platform alone is firm and it's designed to be paired with a mattress How long does setup take, and how much weight does it hold? It holds 300 lbs, and that number is real — the powder-coated steel frame is genuinely heavy-duty.

  • Once you add your own mattress, though, it’s awesome.
I picked this up for some quick weekend camping trips out here in Colorado, and overall, it’s a solid piece of gear with one big caveat. First off, the setup really is a breeze. It took me less than five minutes to get the frame unfolded and adjusted. I love that the steel legs are adjustable from 7 to 9 inches because it totally levels out the weird dips. I set this up in a tent and it worked great, but I can also see how it would be good for a car. Keeping the platform raised means I can easily slide my storage bins and gear underneath to save space. The frame itself is retractable and slides from 52 up to 72 inches to fit the cargo area. The maximum length gives me and my Boxer pup plenty of room to stretch out comfortably. The main thing you need to know before buying: this is a steel platform, not a standalone bed. The listing mentions a channel-quilted padded top, but you really can't just sleep on it as-is unless you want a very stiff back. You absolutely have to bring a memory foam mattress or a thick sleeping pad to throw on top of it. Once you add your own mattress, though, it’s awesome. ... show more

  • Not length adjustable
I bought this solely because it was described as adjustable for length. It is not. I will make do and metal cut and adjust to my truck bed because otherwise it IS height adjustable and solid.

  • Wouldn't fit in most cars, length not adjustable, no mattress included, expensive frame
This Hazli portable car bed is sturdy, but calling it portable is a stretch. The frame requires several pieces to be assembled. While it is toolless, it is not something I would consider a particularly quick setup. It may be possible to put together in about five minutes once you are familiar with it, but it is still more involved than unfolding a typical camping cot. I will say, though, that the frame and construction are heavier duty, so I think it could last a long time and hold up to frequent use. The frame and sleeping platform also do not store together. Hazli includes a bag for the steel frame, while the roll-up platform has to be carried separately. It does have a built-in hook-and-loop strap, but the strap material seems cheaply made. The first time I opened it, small fibers and pieces came loose, and one got in my eye, so I would be cautious when undoing it. The storage bag for the frame also isn't very thick, so if you find yourself carrying it frequently, I'd look into other options for longer-term use. Other than that, everything else seems solid. The platform itself is essentially a set of wooden slats slotted into the canvas material, similar to what you would find on a regular bed frame, just connected in a roll-up format. The listing calls the top padded, but there really isn't much for comfortable sleeping, so this is really only a sleeping platform. A mattress is not included, and I would not want to sleep directly on it for more than a short rest. Buyers should factor in the additional cost and storage space of a separate mattress. This results in three things that you’d have to bring and would take up a lot of space. For longer camping durations, it’s great, but I wouldn’t want to go far from a vehicle with it. As mentioned, size is the major limitation. At 26 inches wide and up to 72 inches long, this really requires a large SUV, van (without seats), or truck bed. It wouldn't even fit in my medium-sized Chevy Colorado truck bed without putting the tailgate down, and it wouldn't fit in my Kia Telluride with the back seats folded down. Those aren't exactly small vehicles. I could probably get it to work in the Telluride with the passenger seat fully reclined, but I'd fear damaging the seat upholstery with the frame's legs, so I'd also have to bring with me a moving blanket or something to prevent that by placing it between the vehicle's seat and the bed frame. I doubt it would fit properly in most cars or sedans without removing seats or making other major changes to the interior. The adjustable legs help create a level surface over uneven cargo areas, but the rigid frame still needs a lot of open space. The length (long way) is not adjustable, so that limits its application in a lot of vehicles. Carefully measuring the cargo area and placement area before buying is essential. The steel construction feels sturdy, and I confidently believe the 300-pound weight rating is accurate and could probably hold more. It could work as a narrow guest bed or camping cot as well, but I already have a more portable camping system that is easier to store and considerably more comfortable. At around $190, this is expensive for what is essentially a compact steel bed frame without a mattress. A king-sized bed frame can actually cost less. The build quality of the main structure is decent, but the portability, usability, and value do not match the price or the way it is advertised. I cannot recommend it for its intended purpose as a convenient car bed, but maybe for a longer-term camping trip or a tiny home, or if you have the vehicle to match. ... show more

  • Very sturdy, heavy duty, no mattress, easy to assemble, carrying case, great value.
This is a great sleeping platform for anyone that loves to travel and save some money by sleeping in a tent or in your car. It folds up so small and comes with the carrying case so you can take it wherever you need. It is very sturdy and well built so it is heavy. It is important to keep in mind this is just the platform and does not come with a mattress. It's adjustable so it can fit in different spaces and it's very compact when it is taken down so it takes up very little space. It's a good value for the money. ... show more

  • Solid bed frame, but needs mattress
Overall this is a well made product. The bed frame is easy to assemble and the wood slats are thick/sturdy. The product listing is a bit misleading (IMO) in the sense that it is not a padded sleeping platform. You can't comfortably just buy this and sleep on it - you need to get a mattress. When you account for needing a mattress and this product, you are storing a lot of volume in your car. For this price point I would have liked at least an inflatable mattress to sit on top so the entire product could fit in a storage bag and be usable as a standalone item. Then if you wanted more comfort you buy their memory foam mattress. But I digress.. Overall I'm happy with the quality/construction of the product and would definitely recommend it as long as you're aware that you'll also need a mattress to use this comfortably. ... show more

  • Bed in car
I bought this because I wanted a cleaner setup than just throwing an air mattress in the back. The platform keeps everything raised, and I can slide storage bins and bags underneath, which is really useful on longer trips. The first setup takes a little patience, especially adjusting all the legs to the right height, but after that it’s straightforward. I’d recommend adding a foam mattress or thick blanket on top if you want it to feel more comfortable for sleeping. ... show more

  • Needs a Video
You need a video and more detail. Nothing beats the HELE platform but with a video, it could be an option.

  • Good for quick overnights
Bought this for short road trips where I don’t want to book a hotel. It fits in the back of my car and gives a much flatter sleeping surface than just folding the seats down.
