  • A must have if you have a “ReVolt” headlamp!
It sure is nice to have one on the charger, and one in the light. Saves money on batteries if you use your light for long periods of time.

  • Great alternative to 3 AAA batteries for compatible BD lights
I'm not a fan of the AAA form factor, especially when a product asks for 3+ AAA batteries. So much is wasted to the casing of the cells, adding unneeded weight and space for the same mAh rating. And let's just hope you have 3 AAAs. I hate digging around through my backpack and finding I only have one or two batteries left. This is a nice alternative compared to alkaline, NiMH, and single-charge Lithium batteries. Less weight, great mAh rating, and you only have to keep track of a single battery. Throw an extra in your pack just in case. To compare to the best AAA batteries out there: 3x Energizer Lithium Ultimate AAA 1.5v @ 1250mAh: 5625mw (Single Charge, lightweight) 3x Energizer Max Alkaline AAA 1.5v @ 1150mAh: 5175mw (Single Charge, heavy) 3x Energizer NH12-700 NiMH 1.2v @ 700mAh: 2520mw (Rechargeable, heavy) 1x BD1500 3.7v @ 1500mAh: 5500mw (Rechargeable, lightweight) So essentially, you're getting the performance of Energizer Lithium Ultimate batteries in a rechargeable form, saving you money, convenience, and time in the long run. Granted, Energizer Lithium Ultimate batteries are going to have superior performance over Li-ion in extreme temperatures, and don't loose charge sitting over time. They're also very lightweight. So if you're going to be using these batteries under 0C/32F, or have your light and batteries in a bug-out bag/emergency kit, you might want to consider Energizer Lithium Ultimate cells. If you don't have BD lights, this product isn't for you, don't buy it expecting to use the battery for other things unless you're a mad tinkerer. ... show more

  • Silly, but good battery life.
It's silly to use a proprietary battery like this. Why not use a more standard battery instead of this proprietary bs? I didn't spend $75 on a headlamp just to shell out another $24 for this.
