  • There’s some minor flaws but still worth 5 stars for a beginner plane.
First off, the biggest feature of this plane is it’s extremely simple. This is both a pro and a con. The only moving parts are the two wing propellers. There are no control surfaces like a traditional plane. The plane climbs by adding power and it falls when you reduce power. When you move the controller to turn the plane, it speeds up the propeller on one side thus turning the plane. This means the plane is extremely easy to fly. So easy my 3 year old can fly it. But this also means you don’t have as much control if there’s wind or an updraft. The reviews saying the plane went up and up then disappeared are correct. This happened once when I let another kid fly it and I couldn’t get it back before I lost sight of it. But this can be avoided by not flying high or in windy conditions. You can also reduce lift by cutting power and turning the plane in a continuous circle. This will bank the plane causing it to lose lift and it’ll reduce altitude fairly quickly. If you want a beginner plane that’s easy to fly this is the plane to get. If you want a more traditional plane that’s a little more advanced that you can stall, then get the red and white NOVCOLXYA RC plane. The batteries interchange, but this plane’s battery is larger, so you get decent flying time on each charge. Overall this is the best beginner plane, but isn’t the best fit for someone looking for true 6 axis control surfaces. ... show more

  • A great value and really does fly!
I must admit at this price point I had pretty low expectations. It says don't fly when the wind is blowing over 4mph. Well at my house that's pretty much never, so I decided to take a chance. To my surprise you can actually take off from the ground! You're also able to throw start the plane too. The plane itself comes with two rechargeable batteries and batteries for the remote too. There wasn't really any assembly you just insert the wheels into the fuselage. There are replacement wheels as well. It's surpringly easy to control. You can throttle up or down which will raise and lower the plane and the other joystick moves you left and right. If you let off on the throttle the plane glides back to the ground. I'd suggest a parking lot or park as I came close to hitting my neighbors cars. I did hit a tree and a few other objects and the plane never showed any signs of damage. The battery is fast to charge only 40 minutes and it seems to last a long time. This is super easy to fly. I dont think my 6 year old would have much success so maybe it's best for around 10 years and up. I wish I would have had a toy like this as a teenager as its loads of fun. ... show more

  • Great plane, but be careful not to loose it
This cute plane was fun to fly but my son lost it on the second time we went out. The first time the day was a still day with only a light breeze & he flew it till the batteries died with success. He said he had a hard time controlling it though & felt like it was flying itself more than he was. I never got to try it myself to see how much of this was true but the wind & air drafts were clearly having a large effect on how well the plane responded to the controller. The second time we took the plane out to the same open location, the air was still close to the ground but rain was moving in so this was a very bad time to take it out. The first time or two he flew it successfully but the 3rd time it caught an updraft & just flew higher & higher until it was out of range from the controller. It was circling above us for a few minutes & then we completely lost sight of the plane & it basically flew away. We searched the area for an hour or more & never found the plane. My son of course wants another one so I plan to buy this again, & attach an Apple AirTag to it so we can find it again. I’m hopeful that this will solve the problem & I suggest not flying it too high ;) ... show more

  • Great fun and great customer service
I purchased one of these in hopes if all went well I'd buy a couple more as holiday presents. On my first flight, I made several successful laps, but then the throttle seemed to stick, and the plane kept moving higher and higher until it was gone no matter if I gave it no throttle. I contacted their customer support who was very responsive, and Lucy was great to work with. Normally they do not replace a plane lost in flight; but in my scenario they agreed to. I received a new one quickly, and tried it over the weekend with my family. It worked perfectly, I didn't lose it, and even my Dad wanted to try it. He did and loved it! Now he wants one, so I'm likely going to buy him one as well. It's made of styrofoam and felt sort of "cheap" at first, but with no prior RC plane experience, I see why this is necessary. With its light weight I was able to land it in the grass easily with no damage which may happen with a heavier plane. Great for beginners and loads of fun. Would definitely recommend, and again appreciate the prompt and friendly customer service! ... show more

  • Gets the job done
DO NOT FLY IN THE WIND!!! The plane is decent for its price, but it gets stuck often. The landing gear breaks real easy and the paint also peels off very quickly. It got stuck in a tree on the first day and on the second day, flew off in the wind.

  • Do not buy this - cheaply made and not durable
My son was so excited about this plane…while it worked, which was for exactly TWO days. It’s cheap and falls apart almost immediately. Do not buy this unless you want your kids to be sad. Very disappointing purchase :(

  • Good buy but read
You get what you pay for. This is a foam glider with some cheap propellers. You toss it. The propellers keep it going. Steering is done by one side shutting down. For what it is; it works. Great entry for a little kid that wants to fly and fairly durable. Battery time is a different matter and I was sent two batteries which is nice but one arrived dead. For the price it wasn’t worth the haggle. This can’t take off on its own and landing is about impossible. So I’d consider this a powered glider more than anything. ... show more
