It works. It shows where the fish are we were even using it around 221 feet up in maine to track monsters!!! Prob the best portable unit in the market OH MAKE SURE YOUR TRANSPONDER IS THE CORRECT DIRECTION. We made that mistake the first two days and thought she was broken. I got this for Xmas. May be an okay unit for certain applications but for what this package is on a kayak it doesn’t work well. The screen is impossible to see in the sun even at full brightness. The mount wobbles and isn’t very sturdy doesn’t stay in place. Was excited at first to use but not worth it. ... show more

It is sturdy and easy to mount and I like the fact that after building a bracket for my boat, that I can easily move it from my kayak to my boat with the need of a toolbox and hours of work.

Depth was wildly inaccurate. Lake area with a known depth of 8 feet showed anywhere from 15-24 feet, and fluctuated rapidly. If depth is important to you, look elsewhere.
