Description

The HAVN HS 420 VGPU Edition does not include the flat, standard bottom fan bracket as featured on the Base Edition. This will be available for purchase separately soon. The HAVN Hybrid Structure places the GPU front and center, fully showcased behind the panoramic Unisheet glass. This design not only emphasizes your key components but also enhances GPU airflow for optimal performance. An additional fan intake at the bottom of the rear panel channels cool air directly to your graphics card, perfectly balancing intake and exhaust. This ensures peak performance and helps maintain a cleaner, dust-free system. With different GPU thicknesses, the vertical GPU bracket can be shifted horizontally to bring the GPU closer to the guide glass for better performance. We've pushed production boundaries to achieve the smallest possible curve radius, minimizing visual distortion and offering a clear, uninterrupted view of your case's interior. The HS 420 VGPU accommodates up to eleven 140mm fans and supports 420mm radiators on both the top and side. The SimpliCable routing system and fan hub feature top-to-bottom grooved guides, making cable management effortlessly clean and giving your setup a pristine, organized appearance. This is absolutely the best case I've ever used. Frankly, I haven't been as impressed by a case since my CoolerMaster Stacker 830 EVO... and that's going back some! HAVN really pulled out all the stops on this one. The HS420 is beautiful, inside and out... functionally and aesthetically! The ease of access is excellent. The dangerous, sharp edges to bust your knuckles are minimal, and there is plenty of space to work on and install goodies in! The panels are all sturdy and snap in place extremely well with the rollers that let the somewhat heavy side/front glass panel settle into place securely, even without the screws. In fact, all of the panels can be left "screwless" is you don't plan to move it around, and there's no worry about anything falling off... but having the screws on the top edge, under the drop in top panel, is a convenient way to lock it all down if that's your play. I got the Vertical GPU version, and I run the angled lower fan bracket and the glass airflow guide, and cooling is never a problem for me. I built the PC a while back now, but it's been stable and cool for the entire experience. The rig I built has a Hybrid cooled 3080 and an AIO for the CPU, and the only issue I had, was trying to decide which rad to put up top, and which to but on the right side. There was plenty of room at both locations for either 120mm width rads up to 360 in length, for sure. I think a 140 x 420 would be tricker on the top side, with clearance being very tight near the top rear corner of the MB 8pin power, but would be the only potential issue. As I was routing cables, I was endlessly surprised by all the well-thought out, built in velcro securing straps, the tie down slots/loops, and the abundance of Fan Headers. Good stuff! The only thing that will require a bit of exploration, care, and planning when putting everything together, is making sure you have the angled lower fan bracket installed early... including the glass airflow guide, since you'll need to bolt that onto the bracket before you secure it. If you run the vertical GPU, like me, check your installation space there as well, since you kind of have to remove the whole bracket to do any work down below, like installing SSDs or other PCIE cards. You could have issues with the vertical GPU mount and air coolers on the CPU, depending on how big the cooler and card is. Last thought on the Vertical GPU: Since these kinds of mounts require a ribbon cable to turn the GPU vertical, keep that in mind. When I first put the rig together, I popped the EVGA 3080 Gaming 12GB in as is, no problems. Over the last year or so, I had begun to have some odd black screen GPU crashes... and upon researching, it appears that gen4 and (especially) Gen5 PCIEX Link Speed can make these crashes a lot more likely when running slot extenders/ribbon cables. Moral of the story is, if you aren't running bleeding edge hardware that can use the gen 5 speed, set it to gen3 for the long haul. And if you are running something that can use the gen5 (or even gen4) link speed, you might want to use the non-vertical mount case to avoid this potential complication. ... show more

This case was an absolute dream to build in. The airflow is fantastic, with plenty of options for fan configurations. It fit my 5090 with room to spare. The build quality is superb, with all of the non-glass parts made of metal. Every area where metal would contact metal has rubber dampeners to help reduce noise. Cable management was also really easy. Compared to my old case, an NZXT Phantom 820 (a good case too, in its own right), it feels so much higher in quality. That said, this thing is very heavy, but I don't personally see that as an issue since it isn't like I plan on moving it often. If anything, the weight is reassuring since it feels so sturdy. It will be worth watching what other products HAVN puts out in the future. If this case is any indication, they will be one of the industry leaders in case design before long. ... show more

I'm actually blown away by this case.. The fit and function of this case is revolutionary! The quality is out of this world when it comes to PC cases. The metal is thick and extremely tough, though very heavy at the cost (which I'll take that trade any day). The cable management, rubber grommets and literally everything was thought over and made installation extremely easy. The cooling the best of the best hands down if you do it right. Also, don't get me started on the looks.. It looks FANTASTIC! literally everything about this case sets a complete new standard of how PC cases should be designed. No wonder they took a years to overlook and think about every single aspect of this case. The price tag might look expensive for a PC case, but this should AT LEAST be a $400 case. This case is awesome in every way i can think of The only issue I'd see other people having is difficulty to use, not a novice case, but its durable, has nice airflow and a bunch of rubber where it needs it to cancel out most of the noise

Nice but BE PREPARED -- Difficult Build, AIO Only

I have mixed feelings about this case. Firstly, it works as advertised. It is well-built and looks great. If you have a 5090 or want to go for a showcase build, this is a fine option. On the other hand, I found this to be a *very hard* case to work in. It is a complete pain to access the rear fans as you have to take out the motherboard and bottom fans. Moreover, you cannot even take out the vertical gpu without taking off the bottom fans, and if you have a big gpu (e.g. a 5090) it will be a *very* tight fit. The beauty definitely comes at a price -- you will likely find yourself unscrewing / rebuilding several times to make things look good. Screwing in the bottom fans with certain brands (e.g. Lian Li) is *very* difficult and your arms will field tired afterwards. This is due to these "pushed" screws that are required to get them in the tilted metal piece. Moreover, the vertical mounting is really a pain. You have to slide this complex piece in and you have to have a long screwdriver and there's just not really enough hands on one person to fit things in stably. The cable riser also needs to be plugged in before you install the metal piece, etc. I would just look at a build guide for this before hand so you know what you are getting into. Key note -- IF YOU ARE GETTING THE VGPU VERSION, YOU PROBABLY CANNOT USE THE AIR COOLER YOU WANT. For example, with a peerless assassin cooler I could *not* fit the 5090 vertically in the case. I think this is intended as the manual that comes from the case provides no examples of air-cooled options. I then tried AIO, realized how much I hated the extra noise, and then went back to just horizontally mounting my gpu. Thankfully it is pretty easy to convert to a horizontal mount, and you still get to keep the tilted fans. However the vgpu version does not come with the anti-sag bracket so you will need to figure out something for that (I just ordered it from their website). In all honesty I do not think the VGPU version of this case is worth it. It is like $70-80 more and makes building/modification like 50% more difficult. Or, HAVN should consider just making a "tilted fan" version of their case without the riser cable. Finally I will note that I regret getting a 420mm case -- I think 360mm would have been plenty and the 420mm just looks a bit too big. Also the case is heavy. But, it's sturdy and I think you'll be pretty satisfied with it once the build is done, it's just the cost and the difficulty of the build that will really get on your nerves. ... show more
