I already have a few pairs of ear buds, but I ordered these Havit Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds, Bluetooth 6.0 because I like having several on hand, in my car, gym bag, garage, bedroom, so that I always have them handy. This also makes it easy to compare features and functionality. First impression, opening the box reminds me of opening a new iPhone. Top quality. Simple, but very effective, packaging. Inside, besides the buds, are a charging USB-C cord, as well as small and large ear cushions. The medium size fit my ear very comfortably. I was a bit disappointed to see that the case does not have a digital charge level indicator which I appreciate having on other ear buds I have. Havit just has a simple LED to indicate charging or not. My second disappointment, like most cases, the lid opens exactly 90*, which for me, with fat fingers and arthritis, makes it a bit difficult to pluck the buds out of the case. These are really minor nits, but I felt worth mentioning. Its important to note that, fresh out of the box, the charging tips of the buds have a hard to see, thin blue plastic film on them to keep them inactive during shipping. You have to peel this off before first use. Also, you can use the buds as is, but for full functionality, you need to download the Havit App. I don't like adding more apps to my phone, but this seemed minimally invasive and easy to load and sync to the buds. You need this app to assign what taps to the left and right buds control. There is also a built in equalizer, so you can set up sound profiles for different genres of music. The app also shows the state of charge for the case, and each of the buds. Nice, but I still prefer seeing a digital state of charge right on the case. I'm not an audiophile, but I was immediately impressed with the sound quality of these buds, especially bass. Deep and solid, without being overpowering. Crisp highs and vocals. I have been listening to music for about 1 hour now, and the app shows I have 90% battery life left. I'd say these are on the top end of quality for what I already own and a decent value, especially if you can get them for close to $20 with promo discounts. I took 1 star off because I really miss the digital charge meter on the case. ... show more

Take these out and get rid of the blue film on the buds so they can connect to the battery. Things I don't like: the annoying app, had to use different ear tips that fit, no charging status indicator, and there is a L/R on there but very hard to see without a flashlight. However, these do work as they should. If you can get your earbuds to seal properly than these are true noise cancelling otherwise, they are close but not completely noise cancelling. The earbuds fit tightly in the case. They are very comfortable to wear. These get pretty loud. The touch controls are very easy to use once you get used to them. Charging is fast and simple.
